Hello again everyone,
Thank you for the warm welcome you have all given me and the encouragement. Yes Sparkle you do detect a British accent. I have been in Ohio for 7 yeqars now and consider the US my home now (though of course I will always be a Brit at heart).
I will keep looking in and see how you are all getting on and no doubt I will have some simple question to ask at some point.
Here's to happy days and fine weather.

Hi Rose and welcome to this great forum. I travel by myself and furbaby Dakota(11 year odl shepherd) I've been traveling now for two months and it is a dream. The novelty has not worn off yet. Arrived in Lake Placid, NY, area today - glorious. Got the Good Sam discount, have internet so will be updating this week and posting on the forum. I do miss it when I can't keep in touch. Still learning, learning learning about this lifestyle and think I always will be. From the black tank to managing finances the best way. Really believe if I hadn't come across this forum I would never have had the nerve to try it alone :) Marysdream Its all good!!!!!

Hi and Welcome Rose, Unlike most of these women, I never was a fan of tent camping - at least not for more than one night - and only in GOOD weather LOL - but I love my little rv - and I love being on the road. I have put 14 to 15,000 miles in the last year - will be not moving quite as much now - but, oh my, I love it - love going when I want, where I want.
Sure, there are times when it would be great to share with someone. But there are other times when I realize I just went somewhere that my significant others in the past would have dreaded and I would have not got all out of it the same. This time around, it's all about me.
Gee, that sounds selfish - but it is true.
Hope to see you on the roads. Smiling is contagious - try it!
