Good Evening,
I wanted to see if you ladies would mind making me a list of things I need to make sure of?? Or maybe you know where one is. I think we decided to buy and old pop up saving as much $$ as possible and work our way up to something better. Does this sound alright and what do I need to make sure of (the list)??
The other question I had is leaving Sept. sometime any reccomendations of which way to go..?? Dart on the ole map or logical planning??
Let me thank yall one more time .. THANK YOU ALL!!! This board would have probably been the thing that's going to be of most value of us in preparing and doing this.. Otherwise we might have messed up and got ourselves stuck!
Oh yea one more question. I'm so sorry for these long posts.
Can yall tell me where what when and how I need to look for internet connection. I have a wifi laptop?? And shoud we use a prepaid or monthly plan cell??
Best Regards Desaree :confuse: :quest:
PS. Thank you Jean for the great link (!!vagabonders-supreme)it's funny and interesting!

Only you know where you want to go. Do you like mountains, beaches, plains? Lots of people or solitude? If I was you I'd get the rig and have a few trial trips. I spent a lot of time taking things out that I didn't need and putting things in that I did need. When you go full time what are you going to do with the "stuff" you already have. Sell it ot store it? If you store it make sure it's not something that can easily be replaced. How are you going to pay bills. i.e. insurance? How are you going to get your mail? I'll leave the wi-fi to somebody that knows about it. 1984 Class A Allegro Bogie the Pit (rescued) Practise random acts of kindness.

I never even thought of the mail thing so thank you for that. I'm looking into the forwarding program. The only bills we will have will be RV and that life bills. We have no debt. We have no credit cards or any other kind of bill. We plan a few weeks of yard sales. Selling everything!! Froggi, This is exactly what I was looking for these links thanks so much!! I know this isnt going to be easy and we will have to make mistakes to learn but I hope to avoid a good portion of the mistakes because I can come here for good advice!! We love mountains and plains..LOL I think we are going to try to keep our first voyage under 1,000 miles. So our first stop will be within 1,000 miles of Jacksonville and it will have to be somewhere we find the jobs. Thanks yall I'm really having a ball reading the posts here and putting my dream into a plan on paper! it's a feeling of freedom! Des Smiles Des

Just in the few days I've been posting I've completely got out of dream land and down to the reality of it all..LOL I'm happy to report that even in the real world we will still be ready in Sept! I'm so excited. I started to make lists of kits and got shoe box size boxes tupperware type and I'm putting all the kits together from the lists yall gave me the urls too. That way I'll never pay 5 bux for a box of bandaids at a gas station...LOL One other firm decision we made is even though it's less to buy a popup it will cost us a fortune in ice! we are going to go with something that has a fridge, stove, heat and ac. so I uped the amount we take out of each pay until Sept in order to do this! I AM SOOOOOO EXCITED! Thank You angels, Des ps I cant wait to meet someone from here somewhere in our travels and also Miss Jean I LOVE YOUR STORIES ;) :p Smiles Des

des-n-kev welcome to the group. I am one that does not travel, just read up on the post. As for your employment you could try some of the temp agencies in what ever area's you are. As some jobs are only a few weeks , others last for months. You can pick and choose when they call you.( You do not pay them and you make sure about that). as they get paid from who ever wants part time help.ADECCO is one that is nation wide. I have work for ADECCO for 10 plus years. worked for me. Be sure not to get lined up with a company you have to pay to find you a job. that a no win situation. I do feel a travel trailer would be a good deal. A good use one is not that much and offers you a lot more comfort after a day's work. Provideing you have the means to haul it.Good luck . Doris :)

Hi Doris, Thanks for the heads up. Do you know if the temp agency has a web site. I'm going to google it now. We dont have a powerful enough vehicle to pull a travel trailor but we've budgeted in enough to buy a second hand minivan or pick up. Either that or we get one that you drive and pull a car. We can find a used cheap older small car for less than a grand. Then we can use it when we park for any length of time to get us to work or whereever. so many options now I will just see what's out there in the next few months and I'm confident with yall's guidence and my determanation I will get it all together quickly.
