Isn't it nice when someone actually asks for and wants your 2 cents? LOL
Back from Life on Wheels conference, in Bowling Green, KY which was well worth the trip. I am a better educated consumer. And I had the pleasure of meeting Donna a.k.a. Froggi
I decided not to buy the little Fleetwood Orbit and go for a Class C instead (22-25ft)
So here are my choices for a small (used) Class C so far: Jayco GreyHawk 25DS Phoenix Cruiser 2350/2400 Lazy Daze BigFoot 30MH24DB
I also love the more pricey Chinook
So I would LOVE to hear from owners of these rigs or any comments (for or against?) OR Any other suggestions
Thanks a bunch :)

Joanie..I have never owned any of the coaches you listed. I have heard good things about all of them..except for the Big Foot. Had friends who had one and it was nothing but trouble..they got rid of it after about 1 1/2 years. Naturally there can be lemons in ALL brands.
My favorite motorhome of the ones we had was a Winnebago Itasca 30' Class C. We NEVER had to take it in to a dealer for any problems..we had it five years and traded it off on a larger one..Wish I had it back..

Joanie,... I've heard good things about Jayco.. in fact I see a lot of them in my area.. and know a few people that have owned them.. and also the Winnes as well..so, it really gets back to basic here.. What makes it for you !.. You know each coach I'm sure has had it's nightmares..I for one have owned one of those babies..and if I would say that I would never own one.. it was basically because when I went to their factory..(now it's over 13 years ago sure hope it's improved) they had no QC dept. they slapped them together.. they were gorgeous but mine fell literally apart..State by State..now that was a treat I wouldn't want anyone to ever go through.. in fact I was almost going to write a book titled "When things come tumbling down".. However, you're wanting all of us to say, "Which is Best" and that's almost like who is beautiful.. when it's in the eyes of the beholder who really feels that way..LOL.. well it's like that with Rigs.. remember they are a house moving down the highway and things are bout to happen.. What I suggest you to do.. take them out for test drives.. see what fits your lifestyle...big, small, slides ..and what fits in your budget..as there are some really nice ones out there.. Also look at the fact of an over hang issue..do you want that over top bunk..my girlfriend loves hers for storage..for me, because I've got to have open space and windows..Yes, I'm one of those..but that over top bothers me.. so see, what I'm saying is..YOU have to check and see what you need and want..Do that list.. plus and minus..it works for me ..everytime I go out and buy another rig.. You can also do a consumer's report to see which has the most complaints too.. I loved Air Stream....Allegro and Winnebago's and as for the others..well, I've hear good and bad.. If you are not in a hurry.. you have time to look at them all..do so.. Sorry I just couldn't give a more decisive answer.. but what ever you decide will be right for YOU.. Like Bethers once said, "You'll know when you get in it.."..
Glad you enjoyed that seminar and happy to hear you got to meet Froggi..
God Bless

Jomilt, Barbzeee Thanks and I am surprised about the BigFoot as the brand was suggested to me although as a TT not a Class C and they are quite expensive!
And if money were no object I would buy AirStream's new 75th Anniversary Classic, it's gorgeous!
I know Allegros are quality built too but they don't make Class C, do they?
The Winnebago Itasca is nice but I am not sure I want something quite that big but I will check into the smaller ones.
And I defintely plan to NOT buy without driving And floor plans are certainly different for each indivdual
I am just starting my search so basically I wanted to narrow it down and hearing from those who have "been there done that" is a great service
And this seems, "You'll know when you get in it..".. about right to me!
Thanks a bunch :)

Just my 2cents worth, but I think also that once you get it and use it you will find things about it that you absolutely LOVE and you'll find things about it that you will say to yourself "Next time I will make sure it has..." or "doesn't have...". I know that I really enjoy my class C, but there are things about it that I am not crazy about but can live with. And whenever I trade up (or down as the case may be) I'll know more what to look for and what to look out for. Now mind you, I am not fulltiming in it, only doing the long weekends and vacation trips, so that makes a difference too. But I just love packing it up and making it ready for each and every trip.
We leave tomorrow morning for a MD to Texas run to pick up precious cargo (my granddaughter) and bring her back with us for the summer. It's gonna be such a fun trip with my Dad and my sister along. Whooooo Hoooooo! Paulette Maryland

Paulette, I think you are absolutely right...about "next time it will have (or not have)thus and so..I wonder if you EVER get the perfect one? I do know whenever we get a new RV, DH and I both work to make changes. Have a safe trip when you leave tomorrow.
We had an overhead bed in one of our "C's" It wasn't a bunk...it was a queen sized bed..I HATED climbing that ladder, also making that bed. All others have had an entertainment center and cabinet storage up in that overhead area!! Like that MUCH better!!
Two things I would go for...A "real" bed..not a couch that makes into a bed...and a slide. They give SO much more room.
Happy RV Hunting!! :) Jomilt From Texas

Hey Joanie, I have full-timer friends who have had Lazy Daze for years and swear by it. I know it is a highly considered brand. Bigfoot is also known for their quality. I wouldn't hesitate on either of those brands.
I don't know anything about the Phoenix. Jayco can go both ways but think in general they are okay but not the quality of the other two. Hey, Lazy Daze seems to be the number one pick but try to find a used one! Obviously people love them so much they don't want to give them up! And their not cheap either!
However I have signed up on the Lazy Daze and Jayco forum.
Have you ever seen a Chinook? Sweet! http://www.chinookrv.com/chinook_diff.html
And then there is this little all -terrain go anywhere baby that starts at $200,000! http://www.earthroamer.com/index.html
BTW I am not getting any e-mails alert messages about replies to my post?

I agree on the "next time" comments. I would never buy a new RV though even if I could well afford it. They all seem to depreciate like dropping stones and frequently are not used too much. I'm still in love with what I have although have a dinette bed which can be a pain to break down and re-make. The smaller Class Cs look good too. Marysdream Its all good!!!!!
