Hi,
I just found this forum a few days ago so I've been lurking and learning. Didn't feel like I had anything to say, but, hey I'm an rver and not bashful.:) This is a great place. You all are very interesting and know your stuff. I feel like I know you and I have been inspired by the courage I've read about here. I would love to be a part of this.
DH and I are fulltimers, class of 04. We share the motorhome with the boss, our Schnauzer furbaby, KD. We love fulltiming, can't imagine not doing this. We have met folks and made friends from all over this country. I've enjoyed reading your posts regarding your travels.
Happy Camping!!
See you on the road!!!

Thank you!!!
DH and I started out in a tent, moved up to a little travel trailer, then a gas motorhome. We were doing the weekend camping trips and some extended travel to visit family. We kept talking about a diesel pusher and fulltime. We were dreaming. We started asking questions, talking to folks in campgrounds. I remember getting so excited when I met my first fulltiming couple. I know they thought I was nuts. Just for the record, this is and will always be a learning experience. Well, dreams do come true. In October 04, we bought the diesel pusher and hit the road. We haven't looked back.
The biggest adjustment for me was getting out of the camping mode into the fulltiming mode. I'm more relaxed now, don't feel the sense of urgency to cram a lifetime into a week. I appreciate each day, don't sweat the little things anymore. It is a good life and I am happy. I am very blessed.
Thank you for the warm welcome.
Karon

Hey Karon, Welcome, sorry I'm just a tad bit late in that but I do believe we all did welcome you before too..! You are so right about the full timing difference.. I hear that often from a lot of my friends.. and I get a good shot at it when I'm snow birding in Florida.. and yes, I could do it forever.. it's cozy and comfy and always meeting new people as they come in and out.. and mostly all turn to full timing as they retire as well..
Glad you feel at home with us Gals.. we are a great group for sure.. and always anxious to hear about others adventures..
God Bless

Thanks Karon for the info and update on your fulltiming. It's good to begin with a tent and work your way "up the ladder"... When you get the diesel pusher....you REALLY appreciate all the amenities...ha!! I am glad to hear that your decision to full-time is working out so well for you.. You sound MOST pleased with your life style!! Good to have you with us!!
Welcome back pack of two!! Joanie, How is your new Orbit trailer working out for you and Maddie? Have you been racking up the miles in travel..or have you been in one park or so, these past couple of weeks..You did buy about two weeks ago, didn't you?How does Maddie like the life of travel?
I am editing this Joanie, as I see on another discussion that you opted NOT to buy the Orbit after all and bought a Class C instead!!! GOOD DECISION!! I say this altho' we DO own a trailer, but I don't travel alone. Even tho' I have never been, or even felt threatened when I was out alone in our various RV's...still I personally feel that a motorhome is more secure than a trailer. You are IN it..and if you have a need to...you could drive away from a danger...head for the hills, as it were!! Enjoy your new motorhome, Joanie!!
We are happy to have the two of you among us as happy, contented RVers... Keep on coming back and keep posting..helps our Forum to grow and to be that much more intersting and fun!!
Happy Travels!!! :)

Hi Karon - I will add my welcome too. I am fairly new to RVing (2 months traveling so far with more to come) I'm not near as stressed as I was at home. The sense of independence and adventure it wonderful. I love it and believe I will always be on a learning curve with this lifestyle. I travel in a Winnebaago Rialta - 22 feet and big enough for me and furbaby, Dakota. Amazing how well you can live on less of everything instead of more.
This forum really is wonderful. Encouraging, informed, and very brave womwn :) I would love to hear what the fulltiming life style is like, where you go, how long you stay in one area, etc.

Welcome Karon. I do the lurking and learning too, but do post from time to time. Don't know that I have added anything of great importance, but it is a real nice group of folks here and very knowledgeable too. I've only had my class c since last April, so I'm a relative newby too. Getting ready for a 2 week MD to Texas roadtrip with Dad and Sister to bring Granddaughter here for the summer. Looking forward to having a good trip and a good time. Hopefully my Cingular air card will enable me to stay connected while on the road. I know it works around the MD, PA VA NC area, but haven't been further west with it.
Anyway, welcome...kick back, relax and sit a spell!

Welcome Karon,
I've been a full-timer for 5yrs now, actually on the road since Jan 2003.
I love the freedom of this lifestyle, if you don't like the view...you move...crappy weather...MOVE...neighbors are more friendly in a campground and someone always as a tale to tell. You get more exercise and your blood pressure goes down.
It will be a long time before I come off the road. I have bought property in Yuma AZ to winter to though. My Arthritis doesn't like cold damp weather of the Northwest.
I learn new things every day and learn alot from the other gals here in this forum. :)
Seeya down the road, Jenny

Mary, isn't it wonderful you have been at this for only two months and can already feel there is less stress for you in your new lifestyle?? Way to go,girl!!!
Paulette,I'll be particularly interested in how your Cingular air card works for you, as Cingular is my service for our cell phone. Enjoy your trip to Texas and back!
So, Jenny where have you MOVED TO now??
Have a happy day, All!!! :)
