Wow, Barbzee..what an ordeal. I've been holding my breath for you and Zeke. I'm soooo glad to hear he's out of the woods.
My Molly beagle has been limping for awhile now, on and off, never acting like it's painful only bothersome. She has gone several weeks without a limp, then it occurs again. Vet said same thing, cruciate ligament, but to watch it. He said it's not serious enough for surgery and that it can either repair or tear completely. I've had her restricted to one room with a child gate while I work and we've forgone the walks that we both love so much. I take comfort in knowing that if we do have to go the surgery route, Zeke will be our inspiration and we'll get through it.
I can't wait to meet you and your critters!

Thanks Donna, Jill and Everyone Else.. It's been a rocky road that's for sure.. !
Jill, sometimes with complete restrictions if it's not torn they can heal..but let me tell you..once the weakness is there.. it's a difficult situation.. as when they do get to attempt to run..the inevitable does and will happen. With a smaller dog, it's not to difficult for recovery and what I mean is that the smaller dogs seem to settle in better as in the case of the larger breeds they do more damage to themselves. I've kept Zeke at 110 lbs being he had his other leg done Same time Last Year.. with his situation it was Genetic.. and it was something that was gonna happen.. Now the recovery time is 6mos before somewhat normal walking not saying running..and we'll have him in the pool doing exercise and eventually on the tread mill..mostly the hard part for him is not being able to move freely.. as his only movement will be on a leash which I will be attached too ! Almost like an umbilical cord you might say.. boy it's a long one too...LOL...but I have to tell you .. when you see them walking normal again it makes you feel it's all worth it.. regardless.. I've got my recliner and flooring all setup and the laptop is up and running..now I am thinking I should develop something so that it would make it a lot easier.. so plan is in the making..LOL.. I look forward to meeting a lot of you.. and hey I'd love to meet all of you ..!!
God Bless and Know I really do Appreciate Each and Everyone of you !
Barbzeee Life is full of surprises, just go with the flow !

Barb, happy to hear Zeke's surgery went well, he is all "fixed", and will be home tomorrow!! I'm glad I was able to connect tonight and find out...No connection at all last night. I'd have been unhappy if I couldn't have found out how all went.
Know it was a long and stressful day for you, and that you are bushed. Rest easy tonight!!! Jomilt From Texas
