OK, I'm on my way to NH and now I'm hearing areas are being evacuated in both Mass and New Hampshire cuz of rain - and that more rains are predicted. I'm calling the cg I'm due at mid-week and asking them if it's safe -
Any of you know any more about it?

Bethers..where are you now and where are you hedding? I haven't heard of flooding here but in certain areas up in VT and NH it happens every year. I sent you a private message..did you get it?

Kalaki, I responded to your first post - have hardly been on since the 2nd - don't have as much acess right now - I'm supposed to be headed to Wentworth - which is north of where they are saying - but I don't know if I want to even try to drive there right now.
That story Donna referenced is one I read a bit ago also - and I know that these kinds of rains you don't fool around with.
I'll call the c/g I'm headed to and see what they say - might just have to do some sightseeing for a bit - cuz I don't want to try to fool mother nature.

Beth, please keep in touch..and best idea giving the campground a call.. I'll be anxious to hear how and where you are .. Also glad you were able to get out of the driveway :)

The flood watch is in effect thru Monday evening IN WENTWORTH, NH. Don't know exactly where you're at now or what you need to drive thru to get there. You might consider hunkering down till this thing passes. Precipitation chances start to drop after that but still at 50%.
I am certain my Mother is getting revenge for my teenage years....

Thank you Ducky. I'm in Virginia heading north - but I'm not looking forward to driving through all the flood watch areas to get to Wentworth - thinking I'm going to look for someplace to stay here until I know it's safe. I'll call the cg tomorrow - and they best understand!

NOAA has an excellent website worth checking out as you progress north. It's top of the line in weather forcasting. It is also an excellent source when faced with disasterous conditions.
I am certain my Mother is getting revenge for my teenage years....

I'm not having any trouble keeping up with what the weather says is happening - right now I just wish I could get warm again :) - dampness is settling into my bones.
I'm going to see about an rv park near where I am and probably hunker down till all the rain and flooding north of here passes. Now - to search and find one inexpensive and with wifi :)
