The question about garlic for Buddy, boy wish I could do pics here you folks would love him he looks like that big dog on the movie with the actor who talked to the dog I think, anywho, the garlic..well I use garlic capsuls..put it in the food and he eats it right up. Last year in the forest work I did thought the mosquito problem was just well hello! I took the capsules and made a spray with h20 and garlic bud juice. I sprayed it on Buds shirt which he wore every time we went bear tracking and I sprayed it on my clothes.. but that was a bad bad year for ticks and mos...This year I ain't in them those woods. I also by the by am home with my rig and quit the cg job.It is a good thing to, I came home to a mess with my late mothers estate/ her late husband and my ...well won't bore ya all with the rest..just don't ever accept a position of executor of an estate. specially when it is family!

Well, hard for me to use then - cuz we live in here - unless I can put it down and then vacuum up in a much shorter time frame - no place to hide the dogs when we live in here! Of course, if, like last week in SC, I'm at a friends where I can keep them in the yard all day one day - I'll consider it then.
So far - all through last year, we've had no problems - hope this year stays the same.
BTW, I use Frontline and have not had a tick stay on the dogs since and neither of mine have ever had fleas - so figure it's working :) Before Frontline, I had some tick problems living in WI - no problems all last summer and fall in the NW - so let's hope no problems this summer and fall in the NE!
Smiling is contagious - try it!

OK BARB- DUMMY here! Is it safe for the dogs to be around the Borax...I think it's the greatest idea but don't want to irritate their skin...I was thinking of sprinkling it in the dog pen and in their dog houses. Of course then if it rains I might have a bubble bath in the dog pen! LOL I plan to buy some tonight and give it a try...fleas aren't bad YET but don't want to get a healthy crop if I can avoid it! We did the Frontline the other day and I havent seen one since but some of them seem to be resistant to Frontline. Thanks for the wonderful INFO...my DH is just constantly amazed at the things I pick up here!

Jenny, I put that down only when I'm doing the motorhome to rid any if there is any..and also their dog beds too.. but I don't leave it down when they come in.. as fas as not healthy I will say this.. you might think of the song Blowing Bubbles.. LOL cause that would surely be what would happen coming and going LOL>. Not a good thing !!!
It does work however, that's the important thing.. now the next biggy is finding it.. As it's an older Laundry product from long time ago.. It's a thing us Breeder did rather than spray..the house as that was too dangerous with the products that were on the market years ago..
Hope this helps you now :)
God Bless..
