TV not important to me. I work online, but having satellite isn't important either - just being able to find access. So, what do I want? My water regulater is a must. My little step stool, which is used to let me get up high, as a table for my laptop - oh my, so many uses. And next, is the views! Please oh please - let me keep seeing more wonderful views.
Smiling is contagious - try it!

Camping World is a dangerous place when you first get your rig...or at least it was for me. Congrats Snowball! When I got mine I must have gone to CW every week for 3 mths. My must have discoveries over the last year as a newbie, would be, those spongy style placemats and shelf liners to keep things from sliding, a little orange warning sign to remind me to put down my antennae and satelite, plenty of those long candle type lighters, quick connects for your hoses. No more screwing them on and off. Just pop them on/off. Sooooo easy. A good tire gauge, extra oil and filters for the generator, lots of towels and old sheets to place over everything...when you have as many people in and out of your home as I do, in dirty dusy sandy environment, you need all the protection you can get, and of course my handy dandy little Hoover bagless vacuum...green/purple...looks like a little tele tubby character. :p

One thing I forgot when I first got my rv was sandles I could wear in the shower house in case I wanted/needed to take a showere there!! To me that is a must!!! I have some beach sandles I bought in Florida for $5 that I wear if I do shower in the shower house. They are also great for rainy weather.

Fernie, You got that right.. I wouldn't go into a Shower at any campground or Flying J with out my flip flops.. in fact I carry an extra pair incase some one stays with me and forgets to bring them !
I also have a spray bottle of Clorox.. 30:1 solution that is 30parts water to 1 part Clorox.. it's what I use to clean crates and spray the matts for cleaning after shows.. I just made a habit of it.. no matter what..
Good thought Fernie !
God Bless

Oh thats funny with the clorox. I keep it in my shower kit and blast everything from the ceiling on down before I get in. Nope no mold when I'm done! Ok ok so I might be a little bit of a germaphobe but there are some things I just don't want to share. If when I ask myself "Would luminol make this place glow under a black light?" and the answer could be a yes, I bring clorox. A little dirt never killed anyone but I draw the line at biological material. There are also some good concentrated virulcidal hospital type cleaners that will kill literally anything. They come in mint or lemon scent and can be gotten at most janitorial supply houses cheaper than at your local food store. They are generally more effective because they are institutional/ hospital strength. A concentrated gallon lasts forever! I've seen some horrors in park or public showers. Now I stay prepared.

I get the coffee beans in green raw form from Mills Coffee in Providence RI. They ship em to me and are reasonable. My favorite is Columbian Supremo. I have a Sorocco roaster (35 years old) but you can roast coffee a multitude of ways including over a campfire for a woodsy flavor. A popcorn popper will do as well so long as you can keep the beans moving and leave time for cooling. (So hot they continue to roast) Air cooling them is just as important at the point where you like the color. You could spread them out and cool them under a fan. Roast outside as it generates a little smoke and the beans shed a paper chaffe. The smell attracts company to come and enjoy a cup as well. What a treat. You can try lots of types of coffee's as well. There are wonderful varieties not unlike teas or wine. Peaberries, Mocha Java, Jamaican Blue, shade grown, estate coffees, the list is really endless. Green beans are dry and stay fresh a couple years. It's when they are roasted that you need to use them up. Enjoy! I hope you get the opportunity to try! Or if we ever catch up at a rally, the coffee pot is always on.

Snowball - congratulations on your new RV - what a thrill and only happy trails in it for you.
QUESTION to Fernie - is your Kitchen Kettle a crock pot?
QUESTION to Barbizee - what else do I need beside a Direct TV receiver to use my satellite dish? It is automatic but I have yet to try it out.
To anyone - How do you know what kind of spare fuses to have on board?
Lots of good items in postings. Coffee roaster sounds wonderful but must keep items at a minimum in my little RV.
