It's Monday!!! I went to bed early last night and I'm up early so I get to wish ya'll a good morning before Barbzee gets up!! ;p
I get to go to my Dr. this afternoon and I'm hoping he will turn me loose to drive the RV so I can take it to the other side of town for a couple minor repairs. Then I'll probably go camping for a day or two for a shake-down campout before I head for Illinois/ Indiana the end of May!! My arm is doing real good and it looks like I'm going to be able to straighten it completely, which is a problem with breaks like mine. My left arm doesn't straighten all the way from an elbow break in the late 70's so I was concerned!!
Just heard the weather on tv. It is suppossed to be a nice day. They had predicted rain earlier but lately they have been changing the forecast more than we change our bloomers!!! LOL

Morning Fernie, LOL, I pray that all goes well for you today at the Doctors.. I know how anxious you are to get out in that RV.. :) I've been up since 5am..but was with Zeke as he's becoming more and more restless for being confined.. I'll be heading up to the Vets at 8am..
Glad to hear Joella made it safe and sound and she and Milt will be having a good time .

Good Morning! I'm off to the daily grind. Didn't get the elusive Megaladon tooth but got a couple hundred small ones. No signs of Stumpy either, whew!
I wish you well on the Doctors release Fernie. Remember that he knows best and your safety is first.
I'll be thinking of Zeke this morning as well and hope the vet can help him.
Barb, I'm from Fort Myers now but originally from Massachusetts. (You don't have to shovel the sunshine!)

Good Morning you earlybirds! Slept in today till 06:30. Fernie - you must be in really good health to heal so fast. Very glad about your arm feeling so good and hope doctor gives go-ahead to drive your RV so you can be set free to roam!!:)
Barbzeee- hope all goes well at doctors for Zeke. Would be nice if there was an alternative to the surgery but I think you are right about going for it right away. Conservative treatment seems to just postpone what should be done and drags out the suffering sometimes. Is there a splint he could put on to protect Zeke's leg until surgery?
My plans now include going with a friend from Fl while she has surgery at Sloan-Kettering in NY. Knew there was a reason I was staying in this general area.
Will be here till end of May it looks like.

Well, the verdict is in.. Zeke will undergo surgery Fri at 9:30am it is a torn cruciate in the right leg.. already talked with Surgeon .
This is going to be a long haul, but like I said, "I have my laptop ready to go" I'll have company this time and that will make things a lot easier..for me at least..As for Zeke, I made sure I asked the Surgeon.. we want more tranquilizers to keep him calm.. and getting out that big matt for him to lay on next to our Recliners..
Amazing how my other dogs..just go right along with it and just lay besides him.. like they know already..
Ok, well I need a large pot of coffee this time.. as I've got to make my lists of things we'll need in..
I'll catch up with you all a little later on..

I'm sorry he has to have surgery but glad they can go ahead and do it this week and get it over with so he can start getting better. Keep us posted.

Fernie good luck at the Dr's and getting released..know you are past ready!! Barb sorry Zeke has to have surgery...but best to get it done..and soon so he doesn't lie around and suffer. Get it over with and him back on the road to a rip roaring around the house dog!!!

Have my meatballs in the Crockpot and a 7 layer salad made for the Rally Potluck tonight!! Someone else was making my green bean casserole and mac/cheese..that's what I get for standing around talking instead of writing down my menu... Grin, Doesn't matter...it's all good food, good people and good fun!!

Joella, Glad you are enjoying the group..great people..! I guess I should have posted that Mac N Cheese for ya..LOL Hope the weather holds out great..
Zeke has slept since I got back from the Vets.. already lining up everything I need while he gets on the mend... I've put out my notices to all.. I won't see anyone for the next 6mos..but the good thing is he'll be ready to travel to Florida for the winter ...
Amen for that..both he and I will need that one for sure...

Fernie I'm praying for you that he gives you the thumbs up! There is nothing more shackling than a broken bone!
Barbzee, poor Zeke. My ex mil shows, breeds, judges and raises dobs and I know how frustrated she gets when someone in the business is irresponsible with breeding. Its not right but at least you did get Zeke out of it. Prayers are being said for him and you.

Good news and bad news!! The bad news is I can't use a weed-eater for two more weeks!! boo hoo!! LOL The good news is I can drive the rv now and am taking it in for minor repairs while I wait tomorrow. Man, did hitch itch ever kick in when he said I could drive!! LOL Wooooo Hoooooo!!! He showed me the exray and said he could barely see where it had been broken. He was pleased with the exray and with the movement I have!!! :) :D
