Hi folks, I'll be Directing Recreation at a Private Campground in NY. We have quite a few seasonal folks. i'd like some ideas from folks about activities you'd like in addition to the usual Bingo, card party...thanks for your input. If you have husbands, get their ideas too thanks!

I was talking to my sis this morning about a park they were going to stay at in Ehrenburg, Az when we get back, and she said that they have classes in all different kinds of things from woodcarving to knitting. The guests staying at the cg give the class, whatever they know how to do, and the cg gives them a couple of free days for giving the class. Sounds like a win-win situation to me! Also we have new ideas on how to cook in Crock Pots..LOL hey I'll give it a plug why not.. a lot of people don't cook because they feel it's too much work.. I'll keep giving it some thoughts too.. We're I stay at the have fish fries..amd pot luck dinners and outings to neat sights..they are pretty active for a "No Frills Campground"... Great people

These all require someone who knows something about the subject:
If you have a pool, water aerobics is good.
Tai Chi is another good thing to have scheduled - gentle enough for anyone.
Classes in bird identification, trees/plant identification might be fun.
Genealogy - especially how to use the Internet for searching.
Safety/Technical seminars (fire, electrical, etc)
But my favorite would be a once a week "Murder Mystery" where everyone brings pot luck to eat. Murder Mystery Dinner Party
You could also have a Saturday night "theme" potluck. Froggi Donna My Prime Years - Click on "From the Lily Pad" SKP #48337 Good Sam Lifetime #42600353 FMCA #F246470 Fur-mommy to Trixie [Katrina rescue pup] Motorcycle Grandma, soon to be back into full-timing

Barb is right...on computer classes, but not basics..as most of us know that. But classes on e-mail, and how to send photos in an e-mail. How to post, and how to take photos and download them to the computer and post photos to Forums.. How to search within that Forum for things you wish to know. When we were in the Valley we had a man who was happy to share what he knew..
Classes on care and Maintenance of your RV... and all components of it...such as the type questions are asked here on this forum.
Line Dancing Pool and Shuffleboard Tournaments.. Bible Study Park Wide Yard Sale at each RV that wishes to. Craft Show and Sale Ladies Car Pool Luncheon..to different local restaurants once monthly.. Blood pressure check... Special Shows of local talent.. the parks hire band/singer... and charge admission to cover cost.. Volleyball Campfires and singing Poker night Attending Any Local RV shows, Craft Shows together Exercise Classes
The list goes on.

Hey---I was cute. I was the "Jill" of all trades----maid, chef, mechanic. I had a tool pouch with tools for everything from cooking spoons etc, wrenches, feather duster and stool brush (new) all in my tool pouch plus a roll of duct tape and toilet paper on my belt. I had on a dust bonnet with a cap on top turned backward. You would have been impressed!! LOL Groovin Grannie Fernie and Running Bear (Winnebago Warrior)
