For the last three winters we have really enjoyed visitng the Middle School Science Fair that is held at the Crystal River Mall. Last year we learned that Eveready batteries outlast Duracells. And this year one enterprising youngster researched the biological effects of toilet paper and how fast it breaks down. Scott toilet paper won hands down. Loved it when he concluded that he needed to convince his mom to switch to Scott as she was using the least environmentally friendly brand.
The kids are marvelous, talented, and very creative. All kinds of projects ranging from the simple (as above) to some that I can't even pronounce and I'm sure will land the kid a scholarship to MIT.
So, if there's a science fair near you, do take the tour!
