Big Dave is going to think this has turned into a proper ol' hen party. I've got involved with a group that feeds the homeless. I do what I can. Some of them refuse to go to shelters and I hate to think of anyone being cold. I like to knit, very relaxing in the RV. I need a pattern for a stocking cap. The plain kind that you just fold up the edge and pull it over your ears. I want to do them in dark colors for men and maybe something pretty for the women. All the patterns I looked at today were high fashion in exotic yarns. Anybody out there got one something plain in basic yarn?

I got a couple of good ones, thanks. Now to get the yarn and get to work. I had forgotten how relaxing knitting was. Gee, can I be getting old?

Just to bring you up to date and not leave it hanging. I've knitted 15 "Hats for the Homeless" so far, and 3 for myself, boy did I ever need them on my last trip. One of them is a chemocap that Jomilt directed me to. It's like a big fuzzy ball in that fun fur yarn. It was much admired at the campsite. I was the only warm looking person there I think. Thank you for your replies even though this wasn't strictly an RV thing, other than that's where I knit them. Am I rambling again....?

Sparkle, m'dear.....I posted this over on the recipe section, but in case you missed it....my favorite patterns to knit for the homeless are on the Seamens Church website. They're famous patterns. They have a nice simple, warm watchcap there, too.

Happy knitting!
