Would like some opinions on having a washer and dryer or a combo washer/dryer in a 5th wheel. Have not had one installed yet, but thinking real hard about it. Thanks for your input. Judy thanks

thanks

Judy,
I'd think it depends on how you intend to use the fifth wheel. We fulltime in ours and really get a lot of benefit out of our stacked Kenmore W/D units. If you decide to install something, we'd strongly recommend the separate units; they handle significantly larger loads in far less time than the combination units. Good luck with whatever you decide to go with!

This is another of those personal preference decisions. We are starting our fifth year of fulltiming, do not have a washer and dryer, and have no desire to get one. Washers and dryers take up a lot of available weight and storage space in an RV and each person has to decide what is most important to them. We (my husband and I) go to the laundry, throw in 3-4 loads, and two hours later we're done for another week or 10 days. Laundramats have changed since we were in college. We have never had our clothes come out "crispy" from an overheated dryer or many of the other horror stories we all remember. Other people will swear they couldn't get along without their washer - it is all a case of priorities.
