We are new RV ers and want to tow a four drive wheel car behind our motorhome. We don't want a dolly or trailer, just all four wheel's on the ground.
Does anyone know which type of vehicle is best suited for that???.We heard that Jeep makes cars that can be towed that way. By just throwing a switch. We want something that is very simple and does not requier a lot of work. Are there other types available???
Would love to hear from anyone.
Thank's
Helga

Hi Helga: There are many cars that are towable on all 4. For sure, check the VIN # ( vehicle identification number) with the manufacturer of the car. Do not trust sales staff to know about towing a vehicle, and do not rely on the manual in the car. Manuals are generic and not specific for any one car, and get lost or moved from 1 car to another. The dealer can also get this info. for you from the manufacturer. But, have it first before you buy the car! Check the GWCR of the motorhome, make sure your motorhome hitch can handle the weight. ( most RV hitches are for 3500 lbs.) Spend a bit extra and get a braking system for the car, (ie brake buddy). A brakeaway system is also highly recommended. RV dealers know all about these things and can advise. The general consenus is, if you are going to do it, do it right, you will be glad you did. We just went all through this.

two separate families that I know who did not know each other until months later each researched the vehicle to tow with all four. They came up with a Honda CRV, based on weight and towbility. They each chose it over the RAV 4
