Which hitch?
Hi all. I'm new to your group, got the addy from rvadvice.com. Anyway...
We are currently trying to decide between the Equal-i-zer, or the Reece. Does anyone have either of these to tell me the pros & cons?
We have a Jayco Kiwi Too 24', towed by a 2000 Chevy Silverado 1500 (if that helps). We finally got our truck home (truck dealer added some things with our purchase), and our trailer is still stranded at the trailer dealer--so we need the hitch to pick it up and get on the road!
Oh, plus we just added the Prodigy brake controller yesterday--so the hitch really is the LAST thing we need.
Please help! Cindy

We towed a "Trail Lite" expandable 23 foot with a reese hitch with the friction bar for sway and weight distribution bars. It worked like a charm. We moved up to a Sunline 28 foot and it worked on that also.

I forgot, ask the dealer if he has used sway bars maybe you can save some money. We were told the dealers have loads of the light weight bars because people trade them in on heavier ones when they move to bigger trailers. Or maybe you should buy the bigger ones to start with so you won't make the mistake those people made. However, if you love your trailer ask for used bars.

Which hitch?
We recently bought a 5th wheel and reese 16k hitch with 4 way pivoting. This is more than we need now but allows for the move up to a bigger rig.Really enjoy the forum. :)
