hi

it'a been raining in the desert!!! enough that there are puddles all over...water in the washes...and I discovered a compromised area on the molding that goes along the front of the 5th wheel like from front to back...never been on top and if Larry ever sealed the roof I didn't know it so am sure that is something to address as well... like some one said if it's not one thing it's another!!

so Evie...since you didn't stay to make your salad why don't you put it in the recipe forum or on here

love salads so would love to see this one

Re: hi
Hi there GF! Rained here, too. In fact I went to Laughlin Sun-Tues and it poured! Had to schlep my luggage and wade through a river from the parking garage to front entrance of the Edgewater! Never thought of valet parking! Duh! So, after bombing around from mall to movie to casino, I went back to the Edgewater and got valet parking just in case it rained again. I was ready to leave by 5:00 and discovered 5 other parties ahead of me and only one valet on duty! Plus, they don't park the cars inside the parking garage, but out in the open parking lot! So, my poor car was drippy wet and muddy and my windows all fogged up! My car is so spotted and dirty and I have no time to get it cleaned yet! I'm sorry I bailed out on everyone in Q. I spent one whole day at the RV repair shop that "fixed" my generator before I went to Q and it still does the same thing! They keep insisting it was the carburetor and they had replaced it. It ran for 20 min., then surged, then quit - just like in the desert. But in Q I kept trying to get it to work and it finally wouldn't start at all! Second time the guy tried it, it was still running after 1 hour, so he pronounced it ok. I decided I rarely need to use the generator anyway, so the heck with it. When I look back in my journals I've had this problem over the years and it's been "fixed" quite a few times. The salad is so simple: In a serving bowl I mix together 1 can drained and rinsed black beans, 1 can drained corn, cut up red and green bell pepper, cut up onion, and a bunch of grape tomatoes cut in half. I pour some Italian dressing into a cup and add about 1-2 tsp of sugar or artificial sweetener (taste to see if it's good) then pour over salad and mix. It doesn't take much dressing. Depending on what I have on hand, I sometimes add a bit of salsa. Haven't tried it, but I bet cilantro would be good, too. Anyway, like I said - simple. I'm sorry to hear about your molding problem. No matter what type of RV, they all seem to want to leak at some point. With all the RVs we had over the years, I think Flitter is the only one that hasn't had a leak! Knocking on wood here. Of course, I had my son climb up on the roof every spring or fall and check every seam, vent, etc. and put sealer on. You've been lucky to have gone this long, I think. It sure is hard trying to think of everything that the other partner always handled. Take care. Evie

your salad sounds so good...have a pot luck on Monday might have to get the ingredients

that I don't have and try it..have dried black beans....usually have frozen corn but out right now

and my dressing is usually a vinegrette but think it has pomegrante in it? or guess I could find a recipe

for Italian dressing haha

the weather is better so can find someone to climb up and see what is going on up there...Kerry's friend Mark set up the solar panels the one panel not up he said appeared to be rusted down but I'm sure he didn't really give it a good look...would like a knowleable person to check it oout to see what is going on...I realize that I really don't have to have it up but I wonder what is going on under it...haven't notice anything leaking inside but heading North in 6 weeks and its a rainy time the so really would be best to have it taken care of down here for sure the molding but if the roof isn't showing bad spots might wait and let my grandson do it but it will have to be done sometime this year. Hopefully you will try next year to come see us ...didn't get to spend any where enough time with you :)

take care
