Hey, Sheila - are you on your way yet? Storms everywhere, so keep a sharp eye out and find a hole to hunker down if you need it!

I'm sorta on my way finally got my truck on Tues I believe hooked up on Weds and pulled out of the drive down the road and the brake light stayed on so stopped twice called to see what they thought and dd said if you can't smell the brakes it's probably ok and probably a sensor reading wrong so on I go and it won't go over 45 logic says I'm not going to make it up that hill so turn out on to a turn out and turn around go back and can't get up the hill...so dd's boyfriend gets in the truck and backs it's off the hill they take it down and park it in the church parking lot...and determine that it is the emergency brake has not released.... so they go to bring it back up the hill and by now so late that it is determined that I'm staying for Thanksgiving Day...and the truck can't pull it up the hill so back down it goes to the parking lot...today it was taken over to a place tire place but he works on vechiles as well..and he can't find the problem..so it was determined that I take the truck down to Ogden to my nephew and have him look at it (he normally does my mechanical work but used another nephew) but it's the holiday so at youngest dd will spend the weekend here go up to Ogden on Sunday and stay with my oldest dd and Mon take it over to my nephew and see what he has to say ...and get it fixed in the meantime the trailer is up in ID with a storm coming so the kids went to my brothers today (he was visiting) my mom and they are getting his truck to pull the trailer down...and it will be at a nieces slightly north of Ogden till truck is ready for it and if the weather permits will be on my way...way a trip this has been..I told my daughter that love them but I'm not staying this late next year...

so to answer your question...at the moment I'm in SLC getting ready to consult with weather.com

You have sure had one heckofa year! I hope you can head south out of the cold real soon. I'm sure someone checked your brake fluid, right? These rigs and vehicles take a lot of beating over the years and before you know it there are repairs on top of repairs. Sending you electronic hugs (((Sheila))).

Truck is repaired and the repairs are repaired...actually it wasn't that bad had no power to tow the 5th wheel so came to UT turned out that one thing my nephew thought wasn't important was regulated the air flow...and then had a transmission oil leak he had put the wrong hose on so it's been replaced...now I'm waiting out the weather and at the moment feeling sick so good thing I decided to wait any way...

hoping to leave Mon if the roads are ok Tues perhaps..although it's suppose to be clear it's still very cold so not sure how the roads will be it freeways would think they will clear fairly quickly

So glad to hear the truck's okay again. They say the storms have all moved off east, so you should be okay. Interstates stay pretty dry anyway - all that truck traffic dries the road fast even when it's damp. They do keep the highways clear. Safe travels to Q, my friend. Stay warm!

Wondering where you are now, Sheila. Hopefully a tad warmer, although it's cold here in So. Cal. especially at night. Gotta be better than where you were!
