Thanks Evie

Bought flannel to make a rag quilt for my youngest daughter whoes 1st born is due in Jan

when my sister in law cut out the squares realized we didn't have enough so went to the store to get more of the fabric saw some more that I liked so got it and didn't factor in that yardage with the other so ended up with more than needed ..I'm thinking of making Alexa's quilt out of it as well perhaps for the backing and get some thing for the top...or would that be tacky? never made a rag quilt should be interesting to say the least...

she is a doll and there was no ounce so wasn't off on that!

Quilters always use fabrics for different projects - should be just fine. I never made a rag quilt. Is that the kind where the edges of each square are raw and allowed to fringe up? I have all the quilting equipment, and even my machine is a quilting model, but I discovered I'd rather just hand quilt around a design - sorta like the pillow covers, etc. Hard to find any of that throw pillow fabric these days, tho. I like to applique things. Not so good with lining up quilt squares perfectly and after making the quilt top, I really dislike putting the thing together! Haven't done much sewing these days anyway. Right now my youngest is staying with me and the sewing machine is on the closet floor covered with all his "stuff". Won't be sewing for awhile.

I didn't realize you had yet another babe arriving. What fun. Enjoy as much as you can.

yep that is the quilt! should be interesting....the top and the back are the same not sure how I do

what needs to be done....never made one but they look fairly easy ...guess we will find out.

Yes we do have another one coming and is a girl as well...

My girls far out weigh the boys...5 of the 12 are boys my 17 year old grandson attended his first semi formal dance tonight ....the girls asked the guys...what a cute couple used the 20's as there theme so some of the guys wore fedora hats one was in a white zoot suit...we couldn't find one for Sid so got him a suit that he can wear to church and other dance black shirt and black vest tie and handkerchif in the pocket...

My nephew tells me my truck should be back to me first part of the week...and if the weather is as the weather channel said a few days ago...I am planning on leaving here (Idaho) on Friday weekend in SLC...even will get to go to granddaughter's play...then leave for Quartzsite on Monday however I've not been able to see on the weather network that far in advance lets hope it will cooperate the rest of the trip! I'm able to see 10 days in advance so at least by tomorrow will be able to see the rest of the trip come to think of it might be able to tonight...It's getting far to scary weather wise to be this far north...will be glad to be on my way

Sounds like a plan. You will make a break south as soon as you can and be fine. Hope all goes well and truck is fine and dandy for your getaway. Hopefully, I'll see you in Q. If she goes, I'll tag along after Sharon's butt! I'll skip going with my camping club and hang out at the BLM with you gals.
