Boo Hoo! I WAS in Q, but didn't get to see anyone or do what I wanted to do! I arrived the day after your gtg because I traveled with my camping club directly from our monthly outing. I think I told you that our reservations at Rice Ranch (across the street from the Good Sam tent) were cancelled at the last minute, but "they" got us into a park just across the road with full hookups. This is owned by another relative. Well, when we arrived, it wasn't "just across the street", but 1/2 to 3/4 mile down from 95. Too far for me to walk. AND the huge sites they said were there? Yup, they were, but they put two rigs on each site. Share the elec pole, water with Y, sewer. And me? They parked me along the side of the gravel roadway so that vehicles drove just beyond my patio mat. Barely missed my awning which couldn't be put all the way out anyway. Only put it out when I was in the rig and only because the sun poured in the door and it got too hot. The elec pole only had 50 amp, so I had to use my step down adaptor for my 30. Last time I did that my plug melted. One of my friends only had 30 amp and she needed 50! Bah humbug! I had to use a Y for water and the owner said he'd bring a Y for sewer. Nope! Not for me. I noticed there were already two sewer hoses going into a Y before the dump. I sure as heck didn't want some stranger's poop potentially backing up into my sewer hose! I am able to dump at the RV parking lot at home, so I'll just cart my poop home with me, thank you.
I was dependent upon catching rides with the others from my camping group to go to the sales. The alternative was to only shop the vendors along the road. First day I hooked a ride. Only managed to browse 4 aisles when they called to say they were ready to leave. Since it gets a bit too cold to sit out very long, the group always planned our pot luck dinners early. Second day I just hiked down to the street and shopped those few vendors. I left a day earlier than planned. Didn't even get to the tent side of Tyson Wells at all.
So, it wasn't the visit I was anticipating. Think I'm over my snit now. Sorry I didn't get to see any of you.
