Left Salt Lake City today...and stopped at Cedar City not sure of the miles but I left at 11:00 and arrived before 5:00 didn't want to travel in the dark and its dark now...waiting for a dear old friend to come by so we can visit for a bit. Was concerned about getting hooked up but son didn't have to work today so he came over and swept off the snow from the slides and then guided me in so we could hook up even got it positioned right with just a few backins then I even backed up maybe 10 feet getting out of the campground...trip down was uneventful for which I'm greatful for!!! tomorrow will go through the Virgin River Gorge which I don't like riding let alone driving and then towing it seems like they go so fast to get through there...then going on a different road so that I can avoid Vegas traffic hope I'm making the right decision there

Should arrive in Q on Thursday probably spend Wedsnight in Needles will see

thanks for all the encouragement

Keep up the good work. I'm leaving in the morning for 3 days and won't have the computer, so each morning tell yourself a message from me: "You're doing fine!"

Sheila - You should have gone through the Virgin River Gorge by now - it's Wednesday 3:15 CA time. Thought that was one of the scariest driving my MH. You did good girl! What was the road you took to get around Las Vegas and all that traffic??
How do you feel after your first trip? Keep telling yourself how proud you are and we are proud of you too.

I got up this morning got ready to go and thought not sure if I see the turn signal and how do I check the brakes??? so stopped at the office and she came out and we determined that no brake lights and no turn signal on the left so go to Loves and the clerk tells me that there is a place I can take it to not far from there gulp that is in town traffic...but before I do she sends out a male attendant and he determines that it is a bulb so get a bulb and a tutertorial on how to put a light bulb in the rear of the trailer...bless his heart for helping..filled up and headed for the Gorge first through St George...then the Virgin River did ok i dislike that area even when riding partly because of the fastness of the drivers today wern't so bad and I took it slow..got through there stopped at one of the truck parkings went into the trailer and got a ice cream bar yum and looked at the map was told that the road that takes you through Glendale Logandale along the lake takes you around Vegas and not much freeway so decided to try for it...she also told me it was slower but didn't say how much slower...its very up and down took a long time and I was really tired of the road when I finally got to Henderson then I truly didn't know where to go so followed the road finally saw signs indicating freeway and kepted on trucking got closer to the freeway oops in wrong lane kind lady let me in then (the lane I was in was a exit only) then I was again in the wrong lane but was able to get into the exit that I needed and on to the freeway it brought me on to the freeway think at Fiesta Casino then on to the end of the freeway and on to Shotgun was amazed diesel was only 3.93 shocked so expected it to be more....debated as it was 3:30 whether to go on or not so didn't want to drive in the dark decided to drive on and got to Needles just at sunset into my spot and that included missing the road finding a good place to turn this beast around and go back to the right road and find a spot for the night then shower feel like a new person!!!

Would I take that road again Linda not sure....we will see next spring I guess but didn't have all that traffic

thanks for all the encouragement have another 100 miles to go suppose to be staying in a rv park in town but the guy that said I could rent his spot hasn't let the powers that be know that I can and I still have to pass the 'board' don't think I'll have any problems with it but one never knows but there is always the desert

was so tired yesterday that I took a peek on here noone had posted since I had so I went on totally forgetting to check in and let everyone know that might be interested that I made it to Quartzsite...my friend back the 5th wheel in to the spot thankfully wasn't ready to try manuvering around a small tree...as experienced as he was he had problems so here I am hoping to stay right now not sure as I either didn't ask all the pertanit questions or didn't remember the answer...there year as I was told yesterday goes from Jan to Jan and I will need to pay for the year oops if that is correct then I might have to move out to the desert in Jan not sure I can afford that amount of money if I do then for sure I will come back in a timely manner in the fall so I can enjoy(?) more of my money.... I'm really up in the air about what to do can stay won't cost much more than this amount of time in a KOA its the coming up with the same amount in Jan as well and at the same time I have to come up with half of what the headstone will cost in January so have to really see what I need to do and can do...oh well

and Joella come sit down and relax we would love to have you here!!! it would be fun
