I'm not the best one to help at all, but when all else fails, I reset the computer to a previous date back to whenever I didn't have the problem. Often works to get rid of the chink (virus, whatever) that's blocking you. Do you know how to do that?

In case you don't: Click Start, then click on All Programs, then Accessories, then System Tools. Choose System Restore and choose Restore to earlier date. A calendar will come up with some of the dates highlighted. You can go back even further than the current calendar if needed. Just choose one of the highlighted dates. You may lose some things you did between that date and current date, but you won't lose your saved things or programs. It sounds more complicated than it is - you just have to move your mouse over the choices. Can't figure out why computers make you do 6 different things just to complete one thing, but that's how it is.

May or may not solve your particular problem, but worth a try.

Well, about the extent of my computer troubleshooting is to turn it off and on so I'm no help. Only suggestion would be to get one of your grandkids to work on it, they probably know more than we will ever learn. I can get my boys to help me when they are around but they are always wanting to change things that I don't want changed.

Java usually updates itself. Maybe go the the Java web site and see if you can do an update or check their help.

Hope you can get it working because I have been missing you.

thanks for the suggestions! tried to down load a newer version of java said I didn't do it but dd wasn't able to help however when I went into yahoo later like after midnight I was able to read my e-mails have no idea why though...one of my dd's called said Sid needs to go to IF want to go well sure need a new mouse so as we were getting into the car was told going to a movie as well...so went and saw Bourne Legacy think was the name of it action movie not the normal type I usually watch..heck we didn't go see many movies and this is for sure not one Larry would have enjoyed. Not a bad one would I see it again no but then rarely see movies over unless they are oldies but good ones like Singin In the Rain!!

So what are your favorite movies that you don't mind seeing over and over and over??

I don't remember if it was last year or the year before one of the Direct TV channels was playing The Wizard of OZ every night for about 2 weeks. I must have watched it 5 times. One of my friends said I should go see the new Meryl Streep movie Hope Springs. The last movie I went to was the Little Women that came out in 1994. I'm not paying $7 or more to take a nap. Put me in a cold, dark place and I go to sleep.

They use to play Gone With the Wind every year and I would watch it but haven't seen it in a while. And I really liked Doctor Zhivago but haven't see that on TV recently.

We have the movie channels because we had to take the premium package to get what my DH wanted but I seldom watch one. My son just told me how to fix the tv so that a reminder would come up for a movie. I haven't tried it yet. That was the reason I never watch one is because I don't want to get in on the middle of a movie.

I didn't know you could do that Martha...I'm the same way hate getting in the middle of a movie

but don't have premium movie channels...right now I don't have anything not been able to get the statalite aimed in did I tell you Larry did that??? it is after all outside work..did help him with the tv part and while in UT did adjust it but for some reason can't get the satalight found so while in Ogden got a new dish and cable but we haven't even got it out of the car yet will do that monday maybe...have to say I miss tv...

have a daughter that can watch movies again and again and again...some fav I can re watch but even then not day after day loved it when they had Wizard of Oz on every year another one that was on every year was Sound of Music and of course Gone with the Wind was on often

did a system restore and still says I need plugins so need to figure out how to do that cause been to java to down load and it says it failed then try a manuel and it's not doing it either

after my wail of discontent on FB my grandson came down and got java to work for so now am back for chat when I can get here before it's too late boys have football practice and tonight even though I started it on time sure wasn't done so didn't get back to trailer till too late will try better tomorrow. Easier meal so shouldn't take so long

for those of you who like musicals on the 22 Singin in the Rain is being played at it sounded like in the trailer we say one day only and across the nation so check your theaters would like to see it but I don't want to drive that far by myself so guess it won't happen
