Seems like no one monitors this site any more. What happened? Well, I'm heading out to a local campground Sunday for 3 nights. Invited Son #3 to come along, with the dog from hell. Poor Shep - he's so afraid of people that he growls at everyone including me. Whenever son stays here to work through my to-do list the darn dog growls everytime I go out my back door! I keep telling him - my house - you're the visitor here! Poor thing. We figure he was severely abused or abandoned. My son is his security blanket and he sticks to him like glue.

Anyway, it seems like such a long time since I've been camping! My Good Sam club doesn't go out in June, July and Aug. I'm afraid I'll forget something important since it's been a few months, so I decided a few nights locally will give us both a break. Can't believe this campground charges $43 a night! And it isn't even a resort one!

Went looking for a folding chaise to take along, but all the stores have gotten rid of summer things and now it's on to Halloween! It's still 100 every day here! Thank Goodness I don't need a bathing suit! We'll just have to sit in chairs, I guess.

What are the rest of you doing these days?

I pop in dailey and see if anyone has posted and pop out again....some times just to lazy to come up with something other times nothing to post

Spending time with the daughters in ID, helping her to get caught up on laundry right now the floor in the laundry room is clear of clothes we won't talk about the dining room table lol

trying to decide what to do this fall besides go to Q but how and where to stay BLM land ie boondock or find a spot and pay for the year as that is cheaper than paying for a few monthes during the winter still not sure. One of the rv parks that I really want to stay in only one place that is free of something, finally talked with the guy and he said he wasn't coming down this winter but someone talked to him in March wondering if he could rent it so needs to see if he still wants it but won't be able to get back with me for over a week so do I just wait it out or contact other rv parks??? lots of questions going on there

the other day we celebrated the 3 birthdays in July by going to a water park the eldest turned 9 the youngest turned 6 yes twins... it was a lot of fun floating down this river getting wet and wetter and colder finially got to thinking that it reminded me of an old son can't think of the name of it but some guy gets on a subway train and don't remember why can't get off wife mets him and seems like she throws him a meal been awhile sense I've heard it but it dawned on me didn't know how to get off that over grown inner tube.... finally just did it tipped it over and tried not to hit myself with it...then just floated on the river did that several times then back to the tube...the slide no way can't do that again did it once thought I was going to drown son thought I was as well came out and resued me ...

Just keeping myself busy then at night lately been having these weird stupid frightening memorable dreams as I never remember them but these wake me up twice this week not liking it at all!

that is what is going on in my life

NEXT????

Wow! Those water rides always look like such fun. I wish they had things like that when I was younger. My old bones probably wouldn't take a water slide without bruising me all up. Good for you for trying it out!

So you are planning on returning to Q again this winter? Good for you. Think I'd opt for the full hook-ups if I were you. Also, you would have closer neighbors around you to help if you needed. Hopefully you'd have a vehicle, tho - do you drive the truck? Would someone haul the fiver there for you? When you say you'd pay for a full year did you mean you'd stay there in summer, too? Heck, where I am is almost as hot as Q is anyway. We are around 100 or better every day. But your family would be so far away. I'd call every RV park around and compare. Even if you only wanted the winter I think the whole year reservation would be cheaper.

Who knows what the future will bring. I tend to worry too much about what will happen, but I'm working on it. Nightmares are frightening, aren't they? My doctor said it's perfectly safe for me to take Tylenol PM to help me sleep more soundly and stay asleep. I find the generic ones really cheap and they work for me whenever I need them. I don't take it every night and haven't even needed it at all for a few months, but a bottle is in both my house and RV's medicine cabinet! Only problem is that it takes about 20-30 minutes to work and that seems so long at 2:00 a.m. But when I've had a bad night or two, the following night I take a pill before I go to bed and get a really nice night's sleep.

Bet your dau is happy to have your help.

Take care -

Evie

I check every day but since I do so little don't think anyone would be interested in what I'm doing. Went to Florida the end of June to pick up my grandson for a visit. It was during tropical storm Debbie so didn't get to do much but try to dodge the flooding. Had my son and grandson here all of July. We went to the military campground to meet family one weekend. I couldn't get over how few people were camping. Went to the state park to use the swimming pool and not many people there either. It has been raining so much in South Louisiana that it hasn't been as hot as last year but the humidity is terrible. I have sweat running in my eyes just walking outside for a few minutes. Probably won't go camping until Labor Day when my sister will have time off.

It's sad when an animal is so afraid. Over the years we have cats that are wild show up at our barn since we feed the barn cats. Some will get to where they won't run off, they just watch us. Some will see us petting the other cats and a few will decide to risk a pet to see what it's like. Now one will let me pet him a few strokes a few times a week. If I'm gone for a few days he must be glad to see me because he will come to meet me. Another one will only let me pet her if she jumps up on the saddle rack. I can't walk up to her on the ground.

Sheila, I like the lazy rivers at the water parks. That's about all I want to do. Sure not going down the slides.

When I got in the habit of doing a load of laundry everyday we didn't have to kick through the dirty clothes in the utility room. The only problem is that when I travel a bag of dirty clothes bothers me so if I get a chance I will wash a load of clothes.

The last time and only time I was on a water slide was thinking 6 years ago...so not this time that time I felt like I was drowning not going to do it again!!!

By paying for a year yes you can stay for the whole year but who would want to??? shouldn't say that as I know several that are down there all year no I wouldn't have to get the kid fix....and it's way to far to get that....The thought that the kids had was that I pay for the year park the 5th wheel and leave it down there get a car cause it would be cheaper to drive but my thoughts are if I did that I wouldn't be able to be in my own bed to have to go from kid to kid to kid to kid to kid to mom isn't what I really want to do plus not all of them have the space to give me a room so I would be comfy and then what about my fish tank plants not easy moved in a car...so my thought is to move the 5th wheel up to Tetonia and then when I want to go down to SLC to see family in Ut then I can stay with the kids go for a couple of weeks then back up to Tetonia... yes I drive the truck not my favorit thing to drive all the big stuff is in my view so feel like I'm not seeing all that I should lots of blind spots... part of me wants to be plugged in another part of me loves the desert year round rent in a rv park runs about 1000 to 1400 depending

just need to get myself in gear
