Last Sunday my husband passed away during that time we have had a viewing (visitation in other parts of the states) another viewing a funeral and a burial and a one man show...

we decided at the viewings and the luncheon we would have DH's paintings displayed...some I didn't even remember lol but people were surprised saying we didn't know he painted to I didn't know he painted that many...my dd did a terriffic dvd to have shown during the viewings (in another room) pictures of him at various stages of his life and with pictures of him with family members set to music I haven't seen it all yet one day will set down and watch...and we had so many likes on the casket...we chose a hand made one from some guy in Far West UT..ever heard the expression just buy me in a pine box??? we did and it was so like him so glad we went that direction.

then we had the burial on Sat as we brought him up to ID for the burial...it still seems so unreal..as so far I've not done anything that I would not have done with him...discounting the funeral ect of course. being up here is something I would have done taken a trip without him not unheard of. one day it will soak in and I will feel something...

I wanted to thank you all for your messages of support and comfort words can't express my feelings so just

Thank you with all my heart

One foot in front of the other, my dear. You are doing just fine. Things will keep hitting you a lot, so give yourself permission to cry ( a lot), rant & rave (best done in a car - alone), and feel sorry for yourself. It's okay.

Oh, and you can always vent here! That's what friends are for.
