Christmas music boxes. No matter what or how you believe, here's my story:
DH and I chose a new holiday music box every year since we moved to Southern California. The collection was up to 20 when he died and I figured that was one tradition that I couldn't do alone - too painful.
That first Christmas I camped with our camping club and attended our holiday party. When it was my turn to choose my grabbag gift, I found myself being "pulled" toward a plainly wrapped box. Now, normally I gravitate toward the gorgeous holiday bag gifts with beautiful bows, etc. But three or four times I tried to reach toward one of those and found my eyes straying toward the plain box. Of course I grabbed the box. Inside was a lovely Christmas music box! I got the message and I have continued to buy a music box every year since. Funny thing is, there was never a music box presented in all the years I've been a member of this club - nor has one been offered since!
Enough to give you goosebumps, isn't it? I was married almost 50 years to this dear, wonderful man who was my true soulmate. I know that if there was any possible way he could help me, watch over me, or be there for me, he would.
So, dear sisters, make your new traditions. Keep the old ones. Enjoy everything the season can bring.
