Not really, but feels like it. I am in the town of Frankenmuth MI. A really lovely Bavarian type town. It was sprinkling a little, but I went in to town again tonight as I could not leave without having an authenticl German dinner.

The inn is so pretty.

This was part of my dinner.

That is sauerbraten, weinerschnitzel, chicken and potato cakes on the large plate. The sides were stuffing, cranberry relish, sauerkraut, gravy, green beans, buttered noodles and bread. They already took away the chicken noodle soup, coleslaw, pasta salad and cucumber salad. It was enough to feed Paul Bunyon and his Ox. Needless to say, I have plenty of leftovers. I will not have to cook for a couple of days. Tomorrow I am off to the UP of Michigan and Mackinaw City.

Hi,

Sharon (sprinter) and Joella told me about that town. I never did make it there, while I was in Battle Creek, a week ago.

Happy to hear you enjoyed your time there.

reminds me of the meals we would partake of at the Amana Colonies just outside of Iowa City IA...they served family style so no take outs but lots of yummy food...

looks like a neat town to visit

Karen,

I lived in Michigan for 49 years before moving to South Carolina and only lived about 20 miles from Frankenmuth! Even when you live close to it, you enjoy ever time you visit!!

Thanks for the memories (been here 12 years)

So glad you enjoyed! It's certainly a worthy town to tour. Your meal looked really good... and a bargain with it lasting you three days!

Happy Travels!

Joella
