Hello Ladies,

Do any of you belong to discount camping clubs (ie Passport America, etc)? What are your opinions about membership in this type of club?

We are a member of Passport America. We always "get our money back" on our membership fee our first trip out each season. We have stayed in many, many PA parks... and most are wonderful. Some few not so good... but you run into that anywhere. I love paying 50% for park fees!!

In our experience it is a wonderful organization and you are not "taken" by joining.

We are also a member of Good Sam Clubs, but we never stay there as costs are too high, and you only get a 10% discount..We stay a member due to our Insurance being through them. We've had that insurance many years...and doubt the Insurance Company would kick us out of the door if we were no longer Good Sam members.

We've been RVing many years...and experienced many camping organizations and some... like Coast to Coast was a royal rip-off.. They NEVER seemed to have "room at the inn"...

Happy RVing!

Joella

I did belong to Passport America but never traveled to an area where anyone honored them. I am a member of Good Sam too. Used them once but I like their magazine. Also a member of KOA and I've used them several times. If Ann is traveling with me we share the cost and it is pretty cheap. They are usually very clean, have some amenities, good laundry rooms, level spaces and usually a nice location.
