I don't know if anyone else has had this happen, but... I got my latest cell phone bill and it was about $30 higher than usual, so I looked at the detailed bill. It seems I had 2 purchases that I knew nothing about. I called AT&T to get them taken off and I wanted to know how this could happen. He asked me if I had Facebook. I told him yes, but I rarely use it. He was very vague about the connection, but I decided I can communicate just fine through the forum and my emails, so I deleted my Facebook account. It just goes to show you, you have to be deligent about all your bills. I do everything on line and rarely look at the detail if it is in line with what I expect. That is changing now!

Did AT&T take the two purchases off your bill?

That's dreadful. Our landline is set so no long distance calls can be made on it, our cell phone is set for NO data, purchases and charges, and our Direct TV is set so no movie purchases nor purchases of any kind can be made.

You can tell I'm not much of a phone chatter!! Just need the basics!!

I hope those settings protects us somewhat.

Yes, they took off the charges, but they never gave me an adequate explanation

I noticed a $20 charge on my AT&T bill one month and found it was for 'adding' some kind of music. I called and said I didn't order it and didn't want it and had looked at the previous month and found it there so I am more deligent about checking my bills now.

Thank you so much for the information. I dont get a paper bill. I also do everything on line and check my phone bill rarely. This is a wake up call for me. Thank you for reminding me.
