Finally a moment to sit down. Saw my Dr and got my bp meds upped, got another prescription refilled to last while I'm gone, took the dog to the kennel, got my plane tickets, called for the airport shuttle to pick me up in the AM, flight out at 10, into O'hare around 4pm.
Update on Pam. Her kidneys have competely shut down and they took her off everything except the morphine drip. Earlier they said she'd not last but a few hours but she is hanging in there. She hasn't been lucid enough to understand what is happening to her and I doubt that they will say anything at this point as she'd probably not be able to process it anyway. All my family are with her at the hospital. Wish I could twitch my nose and be there, too, but it's not to be. This same thing happened when my Mom passed. I then lived in Alaska and couldn't get out till the next day. Not being there makes closure harder, I think.
Thank you, Trudy for letting the sisters know the other update, and thank you all for your heartfelt prayers and good thoughts. I feel them all. Please continue as I'm sure the days will get harder very soon when I finally come out of my fog.
God Bless you all.
