This is the lake/pond at the site. The owner said it is full of all kinds of fish.

At one of our get togethers we made items for a shelter to use for cats and kittens. This is my friend Ann tying knots in one of the kitty blankets. We finished everything one of the RR ladies brought with her.

This was Friday nights Italian dinner. Just one table. The cabinets were covered with even more. One of my favorites was chicken and dumplings. Italian?? Who cares. It was delicious.

Saturday night was a camp fire cookout. Some of us used a professional grill by the building and the others used this fire. There was some good looking meals prepared that night. While we were sitting there a young lady came up with a little dog. She was looking for a good home for Lady because she said she really couldn't afford the have her shots, grooming, etc. The little thing was so friendly but her hair was so long we couldn't see her.

This is her before photo. I watched Ann staring at this little dog and said if she thought she could find a good home for her through the shelter (Ann is a major volunteer) we could take her back and get her shots and beautification.

So we loaded her up with her toys, food and bowl, blanket, carrier and headed for home. This is where she rode and that is my dog Lucy sitting in front of her.

Yesterday we got her shots and her health is very good. Today she visited the beauty shop. She is now half her size and the best little dog. She fell right in with my dogs and cats and granddaughter. Tomorrow we will register her with the shelter in case anyone is looking and also check to see if she is chipped. Then I will foster her until the weekend and Ann will make sure she has a good home with a new family.

As soon as I started reading about the puppy I just knew she would end up going home with you! You'll have to keep us posted as to her future.

Lady was adopted today. Ann took her to a Petsmart for the pet adoption and the manager of the store ended up taking her home. His wife was looking for a little dog she could carry around like a baby. They don't have children, middle aged, two cats so this is perfect. He is even going to use my vet for neutering because the store vet charges $360. Plus Lady should have nice toys, nice food, and regular beauty treatments. Happy ending although I did have a little weep when Ann called to tell me about her new family.

I called the lady who brought her to us and left a voice mail telling her how well Lady fared.

Whew, I thought my vet was expensive. Guess they have to pay the store a lot to be there. So glad you and Ann were able to get her a good home.
