I'm one of those people who think "time is money".... and don't like "wasted time". I like things to be easy, and simple and quick.
It aggravates me that the new electric plugs on things, like all my small appliances have one large and one small plug in piece. It's a waste of my time to watch for the large one to be on the left side.. So... on the plugs that are white I put black ink on the TOP of the plug; If the plug is black, I use a small piece of white tape. If the plug has the mark on top....I'm getting my toaster, hand held mixer, crock pot plugged in correctly the first time.
On my cell phone charger plug in...the top is rounded...the bottom is square----- the plug in is black, so on goes the white tape.
To take my laptop into the office and plug the USB plug in to the computer... I have a small red piece of fabric tied to the wire by the plug....so I can quickly find that plug in the snare of wiring that is necessary around computers, printers, radios, etc. I can tell by a quick look which is top or bottom on the usb plug...but just finding it is the problem.
On my camera to laptop usb plug..... ditto on marking the top...
It may take a little while to organize these things...but in the long run, makes my life simpler.
