hmm traveled from Kanab and down to the south Grand canyon...but it was in a car and 15 years ago! Of course once you get to Flagstaff and get on 40 its nice however you drive. Let me talk to my sister...she's younger and has a better memory than I do! LOL

Hi Sheila. I drove that road from Flagstaff through Kanab (past the Vermillion Cliffs) in July of 2008, just after I picked up the Vectra. It is a GORGEOUS route but many many tight curves and steep hills. I am not sure that I would do it in anything larger than a car again, especially not on my first driving day with a vehicle lol as I did that time. You guys have lots of experience but expect to go very slowly if you go that way ok :) ? And be careful (as your mouths will be hanging open in awe and you may well be distracted from the road :) )...

PS I am 'home' after 5 and a half solid days driving from Sedona. Hit snow all over the place and had to avoid Bend, Kerry, as 97 was insane/a whiteout. Still, not a bad length of time for over 1800 miles (the last bit by ferry lol)...
