I wasn't able to make the last Ramblin' Roses rally because I was leaving with a friend on a cruise to Key West and then the Bahamas.

First thing you have to do is a life boat drill although there were no pirates or ice bergs seen in the area. That is my friend Linda beside me. We were neighbors back in the 70's.

This was my view of the adult pool and hot tub (to the right). No children allowed in this area and it had a sliding roof.

This is the Atlantis. Huge complex with hotels, condos, a fabulous aquarium, lagoons, and the beach. That is where we were headed. As you can see it was a little chilly.

The water was really rough that day and cool but I went in until I was flattened by a big wave so spent time sunning and reading.

Snails for dinner. You can fancy them up and call them escargot but we know what they are. I ate one and decided it wasn't for me but the garlic butter was pretty tasty. That was about as adventuresome as I get with food.

This was our ship.

This was a private yacht in Nassau. We were told it belonged to a British soccer player but not Beckham. It had its own helipad, little runabouts and we could see the crew moving around. The thing was huge.

VERY interesting thread, Vicki! Thanks for sharing.

I love the color of the water in that area.

I know you must have really enjoyed that cruise!

Thanks for the mini vacation. I love the Bahamas. Even though you said there was a chill in the air all I could feel a warm breeze and I could smell the ocean. ( See you are good.) 29 here again tonight.

You can have the snails--- can't do them no matter what you put on them. Yuck!!!! LOL

What beautiful views! Too bad it was too cool to stay in the water even with those wild waves!
