One Touch Can Opener

I made a boo-boo and got my thread on the Jar Opener posted twice...so thought I'd change this one to the can opener. This opener takes off the whole top... cutting on the can's side to accomplish this feat.

I got one of these for Christmas too. We wore the first one out.. They work SO good and I just love it.

And YES...I do like this type thing for gifts...I'm a small appliance junkie!!

Enjoy every day!

Happy RVing!

Joella

We used to have one of these...until it got jammed up on the lid and wouldn't come off! I really liked it up until that time.

Alice, ours jammed up on the lid once, and Milt had to use pliers to get it out. The new one works a tad differently...and it seems to "spit" the lid away from the cutter when it's finished. Sheila, I can use the old fashioned kind of can opener too...but on this company's Jar Opener, which works just as well as the can opener, there is no substitute. I hate having to go whining to Milt to open a jar for me. I'm just a determined, independent cuss!!

Happy day!

Thanks for the can opener review. I will have to look for one. We threw the last 2 electric can openers away because they were so aggravating to use. We had one that worked for years and when it gave out couldn't find one that worked.

A few years ago I got an electric jar opener that I love. Its by Black and Decker and you set the jar in the middle and lower a top to the lid and press a button. These little pads fasten up to the jar and hold it while the base rotates and pops the lid. I hate being here alone and unable to open a jar.

I found a really old electric can opener hidden in one of the cabinets...I use it only if i have more than a couple cans to open, otherwise i use the hand operated one because it makes awful noises...like i was over-working it or something! I haven't been able to find any of the older type electric can openers in the last couple years, just the One Touch which I will buy for Ruth!
