Milt and I are beginning to "come to life" with this virus. We got out and did some chores yesterday. Milt put a new pulley and clips on the front flagpole rope, and accomplished other jobs as well. I worked on cleaning the motorhome. We were sick when we brought it home...so just parked the poor thing and left her as she was.

I had intended to get back on it and finish up today.. It's clean, but wanted to make the bed with newly washed linens...and was going to start hanging decor and silk flowers.. However, yesterday eve walked into the utility room to find our water heater, although still heating, had developed a tank leak....and flooded the carpet.. Always something --- right?

This morning, we washed the car and truck. That Jeep was Mud Covered!!! We then took the water heater out,...and went to the neighboring town and bought a new one. We picked up a Subway sandwich.... and are now in the midlst of Milt's after lunch rest... Then we'll tackle installation of the new water heater.

Exciting life in small town America!!!

Happy RVing

Joella

Sounds like a good old regular Saturday.

I worked today 9-3 and am now just sort of hanging out. I have some organizing to do around here, so hopefully will get to it tomorrow.

Molly and I (and just about everyone else in the area) are getting some serious cabin fever !! The temperatures are decent today, but it's rainy and foggy and gross out. I miss being able to get out and stay out for more then 2 minutes ! I suppose spring will get here soon, it always does.

That's it for me !

Enjoy the rest of the weekend everyone

Today was my last day at the saladmakers part of the powwow enjoy it but can I say I'm truly glad that I don't have to go in tomorrow? we made tossed salads chef's salads, carrot/ raisen salad, cole slaw, jello and cottage cheese. each of them had there on little thing you had to remember besides making them you had to 'plate' them and then a runner would take them to the salad part of the line. it was interesting and worked with some great people but still am glad it's done with for the year.

After we got home tried to have a fire took awhile to get the fire to half heartedly start and then it was whimpy and not much of a fire...When Kerry and Chris came over I said we can sit out here in the cold on damp chairs or spread the fire so it will burn out and go inside and have cake and dip... Cake and dip won! as well as the fireplace. The fire was even cold!!! no heat to speak of unless you were right in there pushing it around then it was smoky not our best fire.

The day is over and it was a beautiful day is this part of the world!!!

Well it's not Saturday, but thought I'd add my Sunday ramblings here anyway.

We actually had about an hour of sunshine today ! it was awesome - now it's cloudy again, boo hoo. the wind is blowing pretty hard so it feels kind of cold out, at least it's not raining or snowing - that's about as good as it gets this winter.

I ran to WalMart for a couple of things and then have been doing some chores - I was planning on a nap but got "sucked in" by bad movies on the SyFy channel ! I love stupid monster movies and I've watched Ice Spiders and Ogre so far - both incredibly dumb but fun to watch. I think the next movie is about dragons and I'm not in to that so maybe it'll be nap time then.

I need to pay the bills tonight and I should clean Chomp's house, but since I don't work tomorrow I think I'll hold off on the frog cleaning till Monday. His house isn't too messy so it's not urgent.

I keep thinking I should be doing something useful and meaningful, but I'm enjoying being a lazy slug - I think that's OK for now. I will need to rise up and be a productive member of society again soon, but for now I'm just going to "be" - it feels nice :D

Hope you all are having a good Sunday

My brother, Cris, came out on Friday afternoon and we trooped through the 'tent' yesterday - he bought some solar panels for his Avion - although he plans to use them propped up on the ground. We got to end with more yummy Sheila birthday cake!

This morning he and I romped through a bunch of RV's - convincing ourselves that we like what we have - which we really do! I think he feels a little better about me living out here - he's been worried. He's the very very frugal one in the family and he's a basket case about what happens if I have a disaster. Actually - I have my outstanding loan to Mark and I would ask him to get money from his parents. It's my money - I wouldn't be shy about asking if I were desperate. In the meantime it's a good savings account!

This afternoon I let my pups run around some off leash. They are both getting better about coming when called. Of course treats help immensely! My sister in law made Cris bring me groceries - bless her heart. In fact - she made him a shopping list and send some things from Costco. I am now the proud owner of an entire case of Kirkland (Costco) macaroni and cheese! I was embarrassed when he showed up with all this stuff - but I guess they know what I need.

Our weather is gorgeous but brisk - low 50's. Last night dipped to the mid 30's. Glad my furnace works! Having dinner at the Boyd's tonight - but they've disappeared somewhere. Hmmm.............oh well - they'll bounce back! :) But I worry about them, as they worry about me. Sheila and I decided last night we won't every discuss politics or religion 'cause it just isn't going to change anyone's mind - and we would be great friends regardless! To me that's the true spirit of what we're all about......... and I am grateful every day for knowing you all.
