  1. What is your location? (state... town ) Edinburg, Texas in the Rio Grande Valley
  2. How did you hear about this Forum? Its been about 10 years ago and I have no idea. I do remember that it used to be I could check in every few weeks and catch up on everything. So, even if it is slow right now - it has been much slower.
  3. Are you married or single? Good question. I am married but for the last year and a half I have lived and traveled alone as my husband is in an assisted living for Alzheimers patients.
  4. What subject would you like discussed? I love to read the "how to" threads and especially enjoy reading about decorating and improvement ideas.
  5. Are you a RV owner or a wanna be? Actually, I own two RV's. I have a 36' Alfa Gold fifth wheel with triple slides that we started out fulltiming in 10 years ago. It is now parked here in south Texas and is my home. Last spring I bought a small class B+ Phoenix Cruiser that I travel in. Yes, I'm what you might call a die hard RVer.
  6. Why do you visit this Forum? Friendship, support, ideas and a neat bunch of gals that have interests similar to mine.
  7. What, if anything, is missing on this Forum? Wish we could get it more active again. But then I have to admit that I am part of the problem - I read it regularly but don't write that often.
  8. Are you working or retired? I took early retirement 10 years ago from the Arizona Republic (the Phoenix newspaper.) At the present I work 1 or 2 days a week in the office here at the park doing their advertising and PR, and do volunteer work at the church and here at the park.
  9. What type of RV would you like to own? As far as I am concerned I have the two RV's of my dreams. The fifth wheel is 10 years old and the cruiser 5 years old, but they are both perfect for me.
  10. Where would you make first or next RV trip to? This is an easy one! To Columbus, TX, to the Forum GTG. Looking forward to seeing several of you there.

Thanks, Joella, this is fun and what a great way to get acquainted with everyone.

Sue

Rushmore, 50 miles from the Corn Palace....and yes that's a invite for anyone traveling to SD...we'd be glad to have to you park at our place...ask Karen...we have plenty of room in the side drive for a large rig and you don't even have to back up to get out...just whip through the back lot! 8. Are you working or retired? Working
  9. What type of RV would you like to own? I love our 5er...but I'd also like to have a B so I could take off by myself on a whim..DH farms and it isn't always easy for him to get away.
  10. Where would you make first or next RV trip to? Well that's a no brainer...somewhere warm in the winter!!

1. I'm currently in Escondido, CA but consider Bend, OR to be home

2. I found the forum on an internet search - but a year ago - haven't tried to find us now!

3. I'm single!

4. I like all the topics - I suppose I'm not as fond of the ones that take a political bent but overall I love it and the friends I've made here! I also love the tech topics and general sharing of trips and such.

5. I'm an owner - have a renovated '76 GMC Palm Beach motorhome (class A) and I live in my 35' Alpenlite fifth wheel.

6. I visit the forum to keep up my friendships, bask in the moral support these wonderfully wise women bestow and laugh at our antics!

7. Like everyone else - I'd like new members - and it would be wonderful if people who joined felt they could contribute more freely!

8. I'm retired - but not entirely voluntarily. I hurt my back and was unable to work my own business, an upscale baby gear store, and then the store closed! Ta da! So - I'm retired!!!!

9. I love both of my RV's - I suppose I might like a newer Alpenlite (mine is a 2000) but I am so pampered with my huge windows and haven't seen anything new that compares - and this summer I visited friends who have a $2 million Marathon - and you know - I prefer mine!!!

10. My next RV trip is going to be to the Slabs and Quartzsite. I haven't boondocked and this will be a test to the big solar panels I had installed this summer and might just open up a whole new life!

Thanks for this topic Joella - it's great to get a 'fix' on everyone!

Isn't it wonderful when you go looking at other RV's... of course a Marathon is a Luxury Motor Coach... ~~anyhoo~~you go look at other RV's and you don't see anything you like better than your own! Life is good!

Location: Dover, New Hampshire in the south east corner of the state, next to Portsmouth NH, just over the border from Maine and about an hour or so from Boston Mass.

Found forum on web search I think.

I'm single.

There's not much that doesn't come up here sooner or later. I enjoy the travel stories and photos especially and like the tech/maintenance and improvement posts a lot.

I own a 28' 2007 Airstream Safari trailer and pull it with a 2002 GMC 4x4 shortbed pickup truck.

I visit because the women on here have a lot in common, I've made friends and it's fun!

It's not so much what's missing in terms of the participants - but the changes in the software over the past year or so have been very frustrating and it is not very user friendly IMHO. I belong to the Airstream forum and their set up is so very superior and user friendly that it puts this one in the dark ages technically.

I'm working until I can retire and full-time.

I love my Airstream. I looked at lots of types before I decided that the Airstream suited me. Then I researched them until I found a layout and size that I thought would work for me. I also love my truck, by itself and when I'm towing.

I want to go to the Southwest - the four corners states especially, and the National Parks in that part of the country as well as Yosemite.

Thanks for starting this Joella - I hope more of the people who usually just look but don't post will join in - it's always good to have new blood - as it were - and no I'm not a vampire!
