It's been a busy morning. Milt worked outside, burning brush and working on burning a couple of tree stumps to below ground. Nice, cloudy day...only 71* thus far. We have rain coming again tomorrow.. I may have told we got 6" of rain the last front that came through and it was badly needed.
I check on Milt every 30 minutes or so --- always do when he's working outside.
I also fed the girls (dachshunds) their breakfast... I'd previously cooked Milt's at 6:30.... I don't want mine that early, so cooked mine at 8:30.
Then, was baking time --- and baked a cake for Milt, doggie treats for the girls-- and got them into the oven. Then bagged up 15# of hamburger I'd bought on sale at H.E.B. for $2.62 a pound. used to be simpler to buy it at our meat market...but they got to be $3.99 a pound --- so went hunting elsewhere and buy it on sale every time we need it..I bagged it in 1# bags for the freezer.
The cake and girls treats are cooling now and will cut and freeze them as well.
We bought a new set of sheets for the master bedroom. Sheets are always too big for the mattress and have to sew up the corner seams about 1 1/2" each, to snug them up to fit. When we buy Queen sized sheets for the guest room, they always fit perfectly.
In fifteen minutes will warm over chicken soup for lunch..and some cornbread, cake or pie for Milt. Then my morning will be done...
Just playing Suzy Homemaker here. What an exciting life we lead.
Surely dislike it when software won't copy/paste and "give me my paragraphs"...!!!
Happy RVing!

While you and Milt are busy doing all these productive things, I'm sitting here in Colorado Springs listening to the wind blow and waiting for the "big storm" to hit. The grandkids got a snow day even though it isn't snowing yet they are still anticipating quite a storm. My DIL and oldest grandson have made a quick trip into town for groceries, etc., my GD has a friend over and the youngest GS is rotating between practicing his trumpet - which he has just had a couple of weeks - and doing cup stacking, another rather noisy pursuit! I'm supposed to be getting some reports written that are due this week but instead I'm visiting with all of you. Ain't life great!!

Looks like you had a full day, Joella.

Must be the cooler weather as I got a bug to cook, too, and make some soup. While it simmered I raked the backyard. The leaves sure came down with the last rain/wind on Monday.

Concerning the 'big snow' in Colorado. My dau. is a flight attendant and is flying to Denver and asked for prayer that she not get weathered in and the flights go ok.

On a bit of a sad note, I got Little Missy winterized today and tucked her in for the winter. Included is a check of all the seams and everything checked out fine. I talked with the gal at the desk about the wandering/steering problem I'm having and she made a few calls to see if anyone had any suggestions. Mostly they recommended a sway bar or steering stablizer but I was told by the tire place that I took her to that those wouldn't solve my problem as it's a constant problem. Not something associated with hitting a rut etc.

Awww, how sad to have to tuck Little Missy in for the winter!! You hardly got any use out of her since the purchase.

However, winter grey days will give you lots of time for armchair traveling, and researching places for you to go come spring! That will be fun~!

We can pretty well find travel days all year long, but I'll be doing my own travel researching. Friend from Nebraska and I are going to travel the whole of Blue Ridge Parkway in the spring. We plan to take side trips. We'll be moteling it...so the trip needs to be written in stone to insure we have a place nightly to rest our weary little heads.

Surely am looking forward to that venture. She and I used to travel together and then her life got busy, but Milt encouraged us to begin traveling again when she was here a month ago. He didn't have to twist our arms too badly! Grin.

Happy RVing!
