Hello Friday !

I hope everyone had a nice week and is looking forward to a fun-filled weekend.

I spent most of the week unpacking - I just have a few boxes left and I probably can throw most of it away, I can't imagine what's in those boxes so why do I need it ?!?! I know I'm "missing" a few things so there are some important things in the boxes but most is probably excess "stuff".

Molly and Murphy seem to be loving the apartment - Molly is getting better about not growling and barking everytime someone walks past the front door. She does bark some when I'm gone (I stand outside the door and listen) I got her a giant bone to chew on when I'm gone so hopefully that'll work, if not I'll have to get her a bark collar, I really don't want to do that but I can't have her barking while I'm gone - there are collars that spray "stuff" at them when they bark vs. shock them so I'll go that route if I have to.

I love it here - there's so much room compared to my RV and I love knowing I don't have to put everything away and drag it down the highway in a month or two. I love my new couch and my new bed and my new car. Anything else I get for the house will be garage sale/consignment shop finds - I love those type of things !

So - what are you all up to ? Did you do anything exciting this week ? Any big plans for the weekend ? Let's catch up :D

HAPPY FRIDAY

I am happy to hear you are enjoying your new home! That's what life is all about ---- doing what you want to be doing! I'm sure you will be relieved when all is unpacked and the decisions as to what to do with it all is over.

You might be surprised what Molly really does when you leave.. She probably knows you are out there and is telling you "Open this door and let me out!!" We were surprised to find our last pair of dogs (Missy and Fancy) never barked when we were gone.....Not even when a friend knocked on the RV door. Fritz thought the girls were gone with us. We laughed and decided they had no one to tell "Hey, someone's at the door"!, so were just quiet.

No plans for the weekend...LOVE it that it's cooler! I am SO ready for the heat to be over...it's been a rugged hot and dry summer....Record breaking highs and most unpleasant..Hope that is gone, not to return.

Enjoy your home and your fur-babies, Trudy.

Joella

Freezing my butt off in Fayetteville, Arkansas, that's what I'm doing! Waiting for my cousin to come over to go to dinner. I can pretty well garantee that this will be my last trip east any time after Sept and before June! Never thought I would EVER say these words, but I can't wait to get back home to SoCal!

Trudy, glad to hear everything is coming along nicely for you.

We planted our fall garden last week and the rain and cooler weather has seemed to come along just at the right time. Penny the hen decided she wants to be a mommy, so she and her eggs went into the nusery yesterday. This week-end it will be cleaning out the run, putting down new dirt and getting our girls ( and Nikey and Trey our roosters) ready for winter.

Ok will try this one again!!! was typing a long and the computer started disconnecting grrrrrrrrr...finishing it's down load I guess what timing

Last Friday a week ago we got to Salt Lake after being in ID for the summer (with short day or two trips out) We went to KOA with plans to stay a week. Then on Sat. we got together as a family for a family picture the first in 10 years....All were there other than the newest member (youngest dd's husband) he claims to be sick was totally amazed!!! they turned out well we were so quick that they were able to show them to us and heavens we all agreed so amazing so we ordered them...the kids wanted a family picture so that while Larry is having treatment he can see his families smiling faces. We got a family group picture, one of us that has been a forever long ago as well and a family shot with us and our kids...I rarely differentiat between my natural born and their spouses but this picture was just of our kids. Considering that I was in them they turned out really good..got one for my mom as well... after the session we went to a park for the kids to play and to have hamburgers and hot dogs thought it would last longer but oldest dd wasn't feeling well so they went home fairly early and it was way cold so we all left earlier than planned but it was a really nice day...

Monday Larry had an appointment with the radiologist and after that I went to a friends that we met in Q to see if she could get me started on my Swedish Weave...Tues was a lost day think I tried cleaning ...Weds went out to a friends for lunch and catch up Thurs because we forgot we were going to see where we wanted to move to while larry was having treatment sence it's a once a day 5 days a week for 5 weeks thought we ought to move up to near where the treatments would be. we went back up to Layton and checked out a great campground that we love and a mobil home court that accepts rv's we chose the mobel home court it was cheaper...Thurs night went to a USBORN Book party never been to one of them spent way too much money but was planning on getting books for Christmas gifts...after the party went to doll class for a few minutes of chatting...they were closing early because Jan the owner and teacher was gone to a Jack Russell National's can't think of the word but basically a rally Friday we packed up and moved to our new home for 5 weeks It's a change we are not used to being so close to people at Q we are in the blm land campgrounds here and there but this is way different and it's noisy train (close enough it shakes the rv) not far from a airforce base so lots of planes and not far from the freeway!!! lots to get used ...Tomorrow I'm going to learn to make watch bands want to make them for my oldest granddaughter

Monday larry startes his dailey treatment some day next week want to go to the family history library in Salt Lake City and Thurs night doll class yea! work on my swedish weave and somewhere I need to celebrate sons b'day as he was gone all last week so it didn't happen and get the granddaughters their b'day gifts as that didn't happen either remember mom was sick and they left early??? Oh and it is our 39th wedding anniversery next week

That is last week and next week in a nutshell

Next????

It's surprising that only 4 of us did something "noteworthy" last week - it does look like Sheila (Snowball) did enough for all of us though ! Wow were you busy !!!

Hope everyone has a nice week

Let's see....Last week... Mon: packed two boxes to send to son in military and got them sent off. Tues: I bowled. Wed: Took Little Missy in to get her checked as she tends to wander. Found out she's been in a wreck and there is no solution to her wandering issue. Called the people I bought her from and they are heartsick. They did a Carfax and nothing showed, offered to send me the copy. I have no reason to not believe them. Thur: got my mammo., had a meeting with my finance guy, then took Choco in for his nail trim. Fri: my friend that workamped at Yellowstone all summer drove through on her way back to CA, and she got to see Little Missy and we did lunch. Sat: my two GDs spent the night so their parents could have a date-night. The 9 yr old has a wicked but loose cough and ran a fever around 1AM. Tylenol was given and she did well the rest of the night. Yesterday I did very little as I tend to not sleep well when having the girls. We slept on the sofa bed together and you know what they say about those beds!! And it's true.

So there you have it!!

Lenora, when my two oldest GDs were little whenever I spent the night we would push their twin beds together...they did not match up well...and guess who got to sleep in the middle? LOL I learned to wait til danielle was asleep and push her over to the edge so i could sleep on her side and that worked as long as I did not get caught in the morning!

Alice, they always want Grammy to sleep in the middle so they each can be next to me. I have a queen sized bed in my bedroom but no TV in there for them to watch till they fall asleep AND they think it's a treat to sleep on the sofa bed.

#1 they are like furnaces and they tend to throw off the covers and I freeze.

#2 they sleep like tornadoes and I have to sleep with my face covered so I don't get a broken nose (I do get kicked allot).

#3 I try sneaking out after they fall asleep and go to my own bed, but generally around 2 AM I hear, "Grammy, where are you"? lol
