I have been trying to eat wiser and watch my weight for the last couple of months. I am the original junk food junkie, sweets, sugar, bread, pasta/etc, you name it, I live on it. I have diabetes also which sure doesn't help. Since we have went on the road in June I have brought my sugar count down from 8.3 to 6.6 which is almost normal and my doctor is happy, it used to be 9.0. I still eat all those things I'm not supposed to, only less of them usually.
The thing I want to mention here is exercise. I HATE to exercise so I came up with something that I can do that helps me. Every morning I lay in bed and pull my legs up so that my feet are flat on the bed and then I try to touch my legs one at a time to my chest. I would advise you to start with 10 on each leg, it's going to pull those belly and ab muscles like a situp does girls. Anyway, after you get used to those you should be able to add more, and I do mine 2 or 3 times a day now, sometimes more if I feel like it since I'm seeing progress and it's exciting! Morning, bedtime and I usually jump on the bed in the middle of the day too. I am up to 100 each time, I do one set of 50, then do another exercise I came up with and then another set of 50 at the end.
Okay, the other exercise I came up with is simple too, lie on your back in bed again and put your hands on your tummy. Now pull up your tummy muscle from your insides and pull up a bit with your hand at the same time on the same side. Just a few, don't overdo it, you will be sore. Then do the other side the same way. You can vary this exercise by moving your hands. You place your hands where you want to work the muscles and flab. I can do the sides of my waist, my abdomen, tummy, there are about 5 different places to put your hands to help work these muscles. You will figure it out when you find the muscles. Just keep working the fatty parts of tummy and abs back and forth. I have lost 5 inches off my waist in 2 months.
The good thing about this exercise is that if you are too sore to really pull up on the tummy muscles from inside, you can do it halfway by just doing it with your hands and it will still help. Also when you first start, you will be sore, just keep doing the leg exercises, after you do 4 to 6 of them you won't be as sore anymore. Hope this helps someone, I know it's helping me and there are 3 ladies in Tahelequah, OK who are doing it now who didn't believe exercise could be so easy either. I can do all my exercises in about 10 minutes tops each session. I call them "The Bedhead Exercises" lol. Maybe some of you ladies will give them a try and let me know if they help you at all. Sandy
