I've been out and about for a while. I left Nashville towards the end of July, headed for Chicago. I spent a few days in downstate Illinois, then a week in the southern burbs of Chicago. Got the dog's shots and all from her old vet and visiting some friends.
I then headed to mid-state Illinois to get a bunch of warranty work done on Homer. Then I headed to Rolla, MO, where my mom & stepdad live.
I stayed at the Arlington River Resort for two months. It was about 15 miles from the folks and I spent a bunch of time with them. Ain't nothing better than home cooking from Mama!
My mom and I did a quick weekend trip to Nashville the first of September to celebrate my nephew's 3rd birthday. I finally figured out how to use my digital video cam and move the videos over to the laptop. Here are a couple of YouTube clips of Zac singing... he's watching himself on the video cam display, so he's hamming it up some:

I helped Mom purchase a laptop, digital camera and printer/scsnner/copier/fax system. My siblings elected me to "teach" Mom how to use the laptop. There were times that tried my patience (and hers too!). I finally made a bunch of videos using my video cam and her laptop, demonstrating how she can use her browser, Yahoo Messenger, her webcam, her digital cam, moving pics from the dig cam to the laptop, how to use Word, how to scan pictures, how to use her email, etc.

I'm now back in Nashville and will be settling here for the foreseeable future. My brother & SIL are expecting a new little one in the middle of January. His name is Max and we're all looking forward to him.
Whew...
As for the leg, I'm finally (!) walking without any assistance. My leg still gets tired and I'm nervous in tricky areas, like grass and wet pavement, etc. But I'm doing good and getting by.
