Hi Everyone!
I'm glad to join this forum of what looks like a bunch of good people! I bought my very first rv - a 22 ft class c last March - left my job the beginning of June, and started traveling in July. It was all new to me - and I'm NOT mechanically inclined - so I have to keep everything in working order!
I travelled from WI to AL to change residency - then hit the road - went west - through TX, then up to CO, WY, UT, OR, WA - back down through OR, CA, NV, UT and CO again :). I don't like the main roads - so whenever possible, I'm driving the scenic byways.
I also rarely made a reservation - as I never wanted to HAVE to be anywhere. It worked great for me. The only time it might have come in handy was in NM - since I was there during the Balloon Festival! But I boondocked a couple nights outside Albuquerque and it was great. Oh, from CO to NM (yes, I skipped AZ, but only cuz I've been there so many times) - then back through TX.
It was absolutely wonderful - took me over 4 months - and I needed more time - but I had to head out of CO (at least I wanted to) before the snow hit!) I saw gorgeous country - hit fall colors in 4 states - then hit them again in AL when I got back here.
I was intending to workamp now in FL - but that fell through - so am spending the winter in bama - will head north and am going to workamp in NH this summer and spend my off days traipsing all around the NE - I've never been there before!
I've been reading some of your posts and am so impressed with all of you - best quit typing now - I know I'm writing a book. I look forward to getting to know all of you!!!

Thanks, Barbzee, and rest assured, I'll get the answer on your critters when I get there. Would be great to get together!
They know I have 2 and didn't ask anything further - cept to tell me they can't come in to work with me :)

Hello and Welcome Bethers!!
Sounds like you just jumped in there and took to RV traveling like a duck to water. We've had some "C's" and is my favorite RV type.
You'll find some good friends here, always ready with a cheerful word, help and advice. You need it... we got it!! :)
No apologies needed for typing on...I liked reading your "book"!! Grin..
Keep on posting here, we all enjoy!!
Happy Travelin'

I'm in Arab - just a tad south of you. I only know a couple people here, as I took on my friends address when I started full-timing. Now that I'm here for the winter, he's stuck with me :) I think he'll miss the dogs when I leave, tho!
