I'm going to assume this board still has some very knowledgeable and helpful folks around, although it's been a long time since I've visited... I'd like to know what your thoughts are, good or bad, on a 2001 Beaver Marquis 40ft Jasper double slide with the 440 Cat with 57k miles? I looked at and drove it today, and I think I'm going back tomorrow and place a deposit on the coach for the dealer to hold it while I'm arranging payment and getting it checked out. There's something about it that called to me from a distance - I think it's The Beast reincarnated as The Beaver... This thing could not have been more cherry the day it come off the production floor!! Short of anyone advising me otherwise, I think this is the one!! I hope this new spring season finds all of you well. I'm missing the good ol' days...

Gene - With the current depressed state of RVing there are a lot of bargains out there, and it sounds like you may have found one. I don't have any experience with Beaver or diesels, but am somewhat familiar with tires. As with the gassers, regardless of the mileage you probably don't want to travel on tires that are older than 6 or 7 years. Since this is a major expense, you might want to verify their ages and adjust the price if necessary. Good luck. - Dave
