Hi,

I need to replace 6 tires which are Goodyear (LT245/70R195 - 19.5/6.8K G159). I am looking

for a fair price which hopefully includes mounting, balancing, disposal, etc. I live in the DFW area

(Fort Worth, Texas). Camping World has, which I think, is a fair price in their latest sales brochure.

There is not an urgency to replace so I can be selective in my search. Thanks and happy/safe

RVing to all.

IMHO, stay with the Goodyears. Price is NOT important. Your LIFE depends on the rubber on the road!

A friend recently shopped for Good Year tires for his motorhome. He found the best price at the time at Camping World.

I replaced the tires on my motorhome last summer. I replaced the Michilins with Michilins. I checked the price at Camping World and they gave me a price of $3,500.00. I went to a RV repair shop and they gave me a quote of 3,300.00. I then went to a local tire dealer and he replaced them for $2,900.00. You have to shop around to get the best price. We also replaced the tires on our toad at the same time. Good luck!

I replace all six (two are TAG) every six years no matter what they look like. It's a local tire dealer who sells a lot of tires to construction companies. He balances and asks that I come in once a year anyway for a checkup. When I come in for my purchase he starts calling his suppliers for the best price. The DOT year is always current and the weight rating is OK. Price is great. I may have to wait a day or two until he gets the tires he wants but that's OK w/me.

Hi and many thanks for your replies and suggestions. An update - Camping World will install (8-27-2010) 6 new Goodyear G670 RV tires (245/70R19.5 load range G) for a tad under $2,500.00. This amount includes installation, mounting, balancing, supplies, disposal fees and sales tax.

Also, free lifetime tire rotation and pressure check.

Best price I could find.

Happy RVing to all. Take care, be safe and enjoy this cooler weather.
