Some input from anyone familiar with I84, I91 on a Friday afternoon in CT would be much appreciated.
I have to make a run from Albany, NY to Wallingford, CT on a Friday afternoon. Word is that traffic around Hartford that time of day is heavy, and becomes a real high speed bumper-to-bumper race after 2 PM or so. Not my favorite kind of driving. Question: would there be any less traffic doing
(A) I87 south from Albany early enough to reach Newburgh by noon or so, then I84 straight east through Danbury and Waterbury to I91 south of Hartford - - compared to
(B) I90 from Albany to Springfield, then south on I91 through Hartford, going through Hartford sometime between noon and 2 PM?
I realize that traffic at noon in Newburgh, and at the bridge, might also be kind of thick.
Thanks in advance for any help on this one.
