OK, so who has the best source for a latch to keep a large drawer from opening when rounding a curve? I also could use a better cabinet door latch which holds, but is easy to open. Ideas?

Hi Slabman We have a '99 Holiday Ramber Endeavor and the latches on the drawers and doors hold very well AND are easy to open. I had one break recently and went to a HR dealer. The parts man knew what I wanted and had it in stock. Something like @$2.50 each. Perhaps this would work for you. Bob and Gwen K from PA '99 Endeavor 37WDS4 2002 Saturn L200 or boat Four Cats

I agree with Bob Kossman's remark about the "worthy" latches in HR coaches. As a precaution, I bought a couple extra latches to carry along, worrying that because they are made of a form of plastic, mine might break. I'm driving our third HR motorhome and have not yet needed to break open those extras that I'd bought. Thirteen years of hard use and they're still intact and doing the job. slab ...
In one of our earlier motorhomes I had two drawers that were always popping open on really bumpy roads ... someone gave me this idea ... the drawers had brass pulls on them ...
Get a brass eyescrew and install it in the middle of the bank of drawers on the face frame in-line with the middle of the handles ... get a wooden dowel that fits through the eyescrew and drop it from the top through the handles of all the draweres and the brass eyescrew ... works 100% of the time ... Gee, Skiman, my wife would shoot me if I tried that system on her. I did use a "Monaco" latch on another coach and I'll bet the HR's use the same one, so that appears to be the way to go.

Someone on one of these forums said to use a child lock drawer device that screws in on the inside of the drawer(available at Wally World) Although I had to modify it to work w/o catching my fingers in the drawer it has worked quite well the past couple of years. About a couple of bucks per package with 3 latches.

You might want to check with the TriMark Corporation. www.trimark.com. I had trouble with small pivot pins disengaging from my paddle latches on my lower compartments. I called them and they not only told me how to fix the problem but also sent me the pins no charge.
Monaco’s answer to my problem was to sell me a complete new latch for $85 and then I’d have to paint it to match my coach.

I can't recommend the plastic hook latch units on my 01 Endeavor. They break too easily and I can only imagine what they cost as a "part" from the factory. I have had no luck with epoxy or other glue. They are so narrow that often the hole for the mounting screw breaks.
Bobco, I had no luck with your Trimark link. Google couldn't find them either. Stan Snapp, WA State 2001 HR Endeavor 36' 2007 CRV Toad

what worked great for me was to put a small 1/4 square piece of velcro on the front of the drawer to keep it from bouncing open. its small enough to hold but you can't see it
