We are going to buy next year. Any information we can get about Winnebago vs Georgetown would be most helpful to us. Thanks.

I guess lack of responce indicates no one thinks too much of either one of them. If it were me, I would want to know if you are thinking new or used. If used, and that was my only choice, I'd opt for the Winny.

I gave a brilliant reply but must have pushed the wrong button so it is now somewhere else. I will try to remember what I said.

I have had 3 Winnebagoes so I may be a little prejudice. First one I bought was in 1989 because my DW liked it numbers 2 and 3 were because we became invoved with the Winnebago Itasca Travelers (WIT) and have made life long friends with our members.

If you buy new be prepared for warranty work so try and find a good dealer who stands behind which ever brand. Quality in the industry is not what it was and the motorhomes are becoming more and more complicated. Most factories pay in the vacinity of minimum wage.

Next if you like the floor plan and it does what you want, that is the one you want to buy. I would also say don't get locked into a specific brand but do look into the company history, will they be here next week. I am pretty sure Winnebago will.

The number one consideration,"IF MOMMA AIN'T HAPPY, NO ONE BE HAPPY!!".

Most people tend to recommend what they have and I am no exception I guess.

In my not so humble opinion Winnebago quality and engineering is considerably better than that of Georgetown.

I have been to the Winnebago factory several times and while it seems that none of the RV builders have the same quality control systems my engineering background causes me to expect, Winnebago is better than most of the others.

A no-brainer for me. I'd pick the 'Bago, hands down!

Supporting & service is very important when you buy any RV. I would like to suggest both are helpful.
