Have a Carefree one touch awning that has become sluggish when going out and real sluggish when coming in, actually have to give a little help when coming in. Have sprayed the arms with silicon and WD40. Have replaced the house batteries. Was told by a person at the rv.shop that the motor was bad and that they didn't make that motor anymore {black}.Will a motor get weak or will it just quit. I wondered if the awning could just need some adjustments

Glenn - Is the awning on a motorhome or trailer? The reason I ask is because I had a similar situation with the electric steps on my motorhome. My house batteries were also fully charged, but it turned out the steps were wired to the engine battery, which wasn't fully charged. If you have a motorhome, you might try starting the engine to see if the alternator pumping amps into the battery speeds things up. Good luck. - Dave
