Hey, gang...now that I've got another "RV", I'm going to be hitting up you experts a little more often. Hope some of you are still hanging around here...!! I got a "new" 1984 Shasta 5th wheel, not in too bad shape, but I just installed the coach battery in it today. I can't get any power from it although the battery is fully charged. It's like there is a battery disconnect switch somewhere that's "off", but I can't find one anywhere on the coach. All the fuses and switches in the panel are good. Any ideas why I'm not getting any power from the battery to the stuff in the coach, including the hydraulic jacks? Manually cranking this thing up and down to put on my truck is exhausting!! LOL. Looking forward to getting back the 'mode' after several years being out of it.

Gene - If you don't have any 12v power at the 12v electrical panel, obviously there's something between the battery and panel that's blocking it. While a battery disconnect switch would be a likely suspect, not all older rigs have one. Check the positive battery cable for a large inline fuse (50 amps) and the negative cable for a good ground connection. Good luck - Dave
