My wife and I are going to have to make frequent trips overnight (drive spend a day or two and then drive back) and are looking for a RV where one of us can sleep comfortably while the other drives. The trip is about 700 miles. Looking for a small RV(One that can park in a driveway, parking spot, etc) that gets good gas mileage and would be able to hold up to the number of miles. Also looking for something inexpensive because we don't have alot of money now and the need was unexpected. Any recommendations?

Sounds to me as if you are describing a class B which basically is a van that has been converted for sleeping and cooking. There is a small motorhome mounted on a Toyota chassis that also falls into that description. Don't make them any longer and that is about all I know of them except to say quite a bit of weight for that small an engine.

Oops just remembered American Flyer (or similar) and other class Cs fall into that category.

With a lot of looking, you "might" be able to find a used small motorhome on the Dodge/MBZ Sprinter chassis that has a diesel engine.

Winnebago maes a Navion and a View, but they don't very cheaply. By now, there should be others out there by other manufacturers.

You might be lucky to find one from an estate or older couple who no longer have the ability to enjoy the RV life style.

Good luck on your search--but don't mistakenly fall in love with the first one that you happen to find.

Cheers and happy travels, Mike www.backroadtravelers.com

All of your recommendations, I would like to suggest Class B or small class C Motorhome is the best option. With a class B you can travel anywhere, park anywhere, and sleep anywhere without drawing attention to the fact you’re in an RV. Diesel RV is the best option as your trip is about 700 miles.
