Ok guys this is not a joke. How do you store your open but not finished wine while on the road? I know, I know -- some wise guy is gonna say "what is not finished wine! I'm dead serious. Once it's open ( a red that you don't refrigerate) how do you transport it without spillage. And thank you for your support !!

Pretty simple really. We have an ordinary stack wine rack. Single bottles on top of each other laying down. When it's time to move, we lay the tall rack down and stand all the bottles up in it. In our case, we keep the rack between the toilet and a wall. Thus, when it's laying down it can't move around.

I never heard of a half finished bottle of wine though. never seen one either.

I typically just make sure the "faucet" is tightly closed, then wedge the box into a cupboard for transport...

Reminds me of the old days on this forum, blue tarps and box wine. Have we progressed even just a little?

Diane will usually put the corked bottle standing straight up in the small waste basket (with Walmart bag inserted) under the sink. Never spilled a drop. Sometimes I just leave it in the fridge in an upright position. Yes, you can store red wine in a fridge.
