For some reason I haven't been back to this board in quite a while and just tuned in again today. I keep hoping to see a bunch of new faces on here to provide a little stimulus for some discussion. Carol and I are still running around the Country, having even traveled overseas last Fall back to Australia. We plan to return again (this will be about trip #12, I think) in the Fall of 2014 to caravan throughout our "home" state of Queensland and then do New Zealand. I know the rental units we'll have won't be even close to what we have here in the U.S.
Some of you may remember "Aussie Barb" who was on here a short while. We have become good friends and stay with them when we go back to Queensland. They have spent their time running around the U.S. and recently brought their Seneca back to Aussie where Gramme has converted it to RH drive. They plan to do their first trip over there in their "Yank" motorhome. Gramme has bought a building in Sandersville GA to do RH vehicle conversions for the Aussie market. His son will run it and they'll convert classic cars, RV's and about anything else for eventual shipment overseas. Barb continues training her horses for harness racing on the local tracks.
We bought an RV lot in Port St Lucie West (different park from Rich) and built a tiki hut last season, so life is very enjoyable during the winter in Florida. We hit the Tampa show every year just to see what's out there that we can't afford.
After a quick trip back to DFW to see the kids, we'll head on out for our summer adventure...still too many places we haven't reached and can't quit 'till we do! This summer will be the New England area, including Quebec, PEI and Nov Scotia. I've been reading through Rich's travelogue for more info on the various place...thanks, Rich!
I was shocked and sorry to learn about John selling the "Dutch" and bike, but times change, even though I think you (John) are younger than I am. So we can't use age as an excuse, eh? Haven't seen Rich since he stayed in our park and had too much trouble with his black tank! Maybe there's a moral here.... One day I even hope to make it through Bracketville, assuming that guy isn't out chasing more storms!
